TL;DR: One of the best game I've ever played, sure it has some flaws but overall it's still an amazing experience. Solid 8/10. It's pretty good.

I'm not growing up playing nor knowing anything about the MGS series. Back in 2016 when I started to use Steam then I heard about this franchise but can't bring myself to play any of the previous title, mainly because it's all on console. As I began to love the feel of stealth mechanics after playing Far Cry 3 (and finally had the money), I decided to buy GZ & TPP early this year.

I got hooked up immediately. Playing it none stop for about 3 month and spending over ~330 hours in both game, I just hit 100% completion yesterday, and I don't regret it at all.

++ Great graphics with great optimization. Run smoothly on my 5 yo potato PC. Beautiful cutscenes.
++ Amazing soundtrack from the 80's, the theme itself also great. My personal favorite tracks: "V has come to", "Sins of the Father", "Love Deterrence" (Acoustic).
++ Awesome gameplay mechanics with many variety of (crazy) tools, weapons, vehicles.
++ Super good voice acting.
+ Great prologue and an intense story (Chapter 1) with some memorable moment in chapter 2. "Shinning Light, Even in Death."
+ Base building, weapons development and customization, creating your own private army is tons of fun.
+ Custom helicopter music.
+ 2 big open world map which each has it own environment and weather systems.

Most story is in radio tapes. (Not a serious problem imo, it's voiced. I like it more than loads of words on some other game, and the voice acting pretty much made up for it)

- Story going downhill really fast after chapter 1. Chapter 2's missions some are just reskin of c1 with modification and increased difficulty.
- Open world sometime make the atmosphere feel flat compare to Ground Zeroes.
- Become a grind-fest as soon as you get to the second FOB.
- Real-time development for weaps and MotherBase/FOB construction. It's tedious and annoying. Seriously.
