I really want to recommend it. I love the game, it has a slower paced, team focused gameplay and the feeling that around every corner there are 5 or more rifles pointed your way. But after two years now, I'm still seeing performance drops that are plain unacceptable in this game, alongside a tremendous glitch where after I play my first game, which goes fine, the game randomly slows down, and speeds back up, then back down over and over, making it impossible to play.

Dark fantasy, engaging combat, hair pulling tension, I love every bit of it.

Small, dedicated community. Imagine if ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was a videogame, that's the community. Fun as hell to play though, and you can almost always find new ways to improve.

AI needs some work, they're generally not much of a threat. Weapon variety is currently pretty low, most weapons are either an AK variant or an AR variant, but I know it's early access, so that will likely change. Don't just shoot everyone you see, you are punished for shooting those in your faction. Unfortunately this also seems to count when defending yourself against someone in your faction who either doesn't know about this rule yet or doesn't care, so there needs to be some kind of defense system in which shooting a friendly repeatedly opens you up as a hostile target, or that system is gonna see massive abuse. Loot variety seems fairly poor, too, but the gunplay is fairly solid and smooth, the living world idea is really cool, and the base mechanics the game employs are otherwise solid. Would like to see vehicles sometime, even if it's just civilian vehicles. The map is massive and covering the distance on foot isn't very practical. For an early release, I give it a solid B+, currently.

Like pretty much everyone else is saying, it's PvE Tarkov. Loads of fun, and the AI is more than sufficiently challenging, as well as the game including a difficulty selection. Has great potential to be a good niche filler for those of us who like Tarkov but just aren't able to keep up in PvP, or just don't want to deal with PvP at all

Main city has some major FPS drops, but I'm sure they'll be fixing that, if they could tweak performance for a few more frames it would be awesome but I don't really have much of a gripe about that, my main issue is with the save system, and dragonsplague, with one save slot that is constantly overwritten and no option for a new game or even to have a structured save file system for the one game save we DO get, dragonsplague could potentially destroy the game for people, and the save system is just plain asinine even without it. That said, the core gameplay feels amazing and the world is teeming with life, and I have had immense fun playing it over the last couple of days (game time unintentionally inflated by falling asleep with game on overnight)

TTK is a bit ridiculous, heavy armor basically makes bullets useless, but still pretty fun if you're not facing someone absolutely stacked

Brilliant fun, community is a good mix of friendly and the sort to fire on sight, keeps things refreshing. Make sure you have a good connection, because if you disconnect you lose everything like you died, and play the tutorial if you're new, because the game's fairly complicated at first

Probably the exact Harry Potter RPG you wanted as a kid, but no Quidditch.
