Got this for some nostalgia and wanted to play coop campaign with a couple friends. The graphics were dated, but that is to be expect from games 10+ years old even with the reworks. However, the campaign was basically unplayable. The teleport to checkpoint system is the worst in coop. Most games will give you a "teleporting to teammate" countdown, this will just teleport you immediately, regardless of how far you are from the checkpoint. If your teammate hits the checkpoint and you're a foot away, it'll teleport you. The worst part is the frame rate or just connection issues. The game crashes occassionally and the frame rate drop in Halo 3 is abysmal. It'll drop to 5fps, or even lower, in certain areas.

36 hours played, several jumps, serveral ships/weapons. Everything's very similar. A change of color will not make things look much different. It was said that the closer you get to the center, the more interesting things will be. It isn't. The ships/weapons do not have much variety in them. A lot of it is minor changes like color or an extra tube here and there. It's suppose to be a survival game, but all the survival aspects are... easy. I don't know what else to say about it. Radiation/cold/heat, all the same. After awhile, you will rarely be out of your ship for an extended period of time, even if you are, you'll have enough resources stockpiled in your inventory to simply refill your shields. Sentinels are a joke. Flight controls are horrible with a KB/M. Technologies are very easy to come by, and within a few hours you'll unlock them all.


It's a fun game, but in its current state, it isn't worth $60.

Nexon is such a bad company. Pay2win. Horrible optimizations. I can't log into the game unless I reset my PIC. Ok, I went to the site and reset. Doesn't do anything... at all...

Game was fun until you hit end game. As an MMO, all end game content is essentially in the PVP zone, DZ. They tried to remedy this through incursions, dailies and HVTs, but even then, you have to be a certain DZ level to get certain blue prints. If you want those blue prints, well... you\'re forced to grind away in DZ. God forbid you want to just play PVE.

Why Emily, we had such a good thing going. Why'd you give up on us :(

I didn't manage to play it during Alpha but I was extremely looking forward to this game. Then the preorders started happening. Preorder bonus of L4D? Who doesn't have L4D by now, since it was free awhile ago. That isn't even the main issue. The issue is the fact that it is horrendously overpriced. There's no debating that this game is overpriced. It's a $60 dollar game that heavily relies on the MP aspect and the community. On top of that, the DLC is ridiculous. 20 dollars just for 3 playable characters. I would definitely wait for the inevitable GOTY sale, however, by then the game will have most likely died and there'd be no reason to pick up the game since the game relies too much on MP.

I have no doubt this game is fun and amazing, but the fact that it's overpriced at 60 dollars, 100 dollars for the full experience, while completly relying on MP, just makes me do a full 180.

Welp, had to change my review. Had fun playing the game over several hundred hours. I was fine with the DLCs being roughly 5 dollars each, since they weren't required and many of the heists DLCs only needed to be owned by the host. However, now that you can literally pay for better gear... that's a whole different story.
