Plot summary (Dedede side):It starts as a normal day for the king, until he becomes incredibly hungry.The only thing standing between him and a snack is the waddle dees' protests, however Dedede is able to convince them that he is the legendary star warrior, Kirby, and that he is allowed to eat. he proceeds to feast on some barbecue flatored taver chips, only to discover that he has been lied to, the chip aren't BBQ flavored, so he eats the other chips. Escargoon is not happy the next day, as he sees the king eating all of his chips. The citizens of Dreamland begin to suspect that the king may be gay, and he that might not be king at all, after he hasn't left his castle for a few days. The local police chief however, reassures them all, by confirming that he and the rotund ruler have gone fishing together lately. Meanwhile, Dedede and Escargoon are arguing over whether or not they're eating chips or nuts, finally, the manic monarch realizes that making Escargoon the star of the show would be a financial success, which works. They even get a sponsor in the form of Luby's, however, Escargoon backs out of the deal after discovering that the restaurant sells cooked snails, and alas, this legendary friendship is broken apart after Dedede admits that his chips were actually snail flavored, driving quite the wedge between him and Escargoon. The next day, Goon discovers that Kirby has fallen into a platter of chicken and rice, as he runs to tell Dedede, the king is messing around with his chair, until he hits a Gordo, launching him across the room. Goon tries to tell him the dangers of sitting around eating chips, but all the king cares about is a new cartoon staring his chips, though he's really the only one who cares. The next day, the emperor penguin has become morbidly obese. End of act one.
Act 2:The king refuses to listen to the warnings of those around him, and demands another bag of chips, until he is approached by a suspicious "dentist", who has a disturbing fascination with chips. Everyone decides to take Dedede to the doctor, unfortunately, he has never seen fat people before. Because of this, the kids decide to search for weenies to discover what they're made of, it turns out that they are made of ketchup, ketchup so powerful in fact, that it opens a portal connecting Dreamland and the Peach Creek cul-de-sac. The doctor and the strange dentist from before tell everyone one that the king cannot have anymore chips. The sight of that maniacal rabbit causes the king to have a hallucinogenic panic attack, he dreams that he and Escargoon are in a car being kicked down a mountain by Meta Knight, though the mention of chips, takes the ridiculous regal to another scene, where he and his friends are creating a cartoon which seems to take forever. The maddening silence, however, is enough to snap him back to reality, though it seems the monarch, is going through "snack withdrawal", which means he's going through "snack withdrawal", which means he's going through "snack withdrawal".
