Horizon Zero Dawn is an excellent game, with a captivating story, vast exploration, and enjoyable gameplay. It was the first game I completed in 2024, and I loved every minute, Aloy earned a place in my heart. Undoubtedly, one of my favorite games.

🕹️ Graphics: ★★★★★

The graphics are extremely detailed, with various effects like shadow, light, day/night changes, vegetation swaying in the breeze, gusts of wind, sand, snow, etc. You can immerse yourself in the universe with so many details. Perhaps one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.

🗺️ Story: ★★★★★

Horizon Zero Dawn deals with a tribal society that emerged partially primitive from the ashes of a modern civilization in a post-apocalyptic world. Even though it's not 100% original, the story is captivating. As you delve deep into how an entire civilization disappeared, you still question if we're not so far from a similar fate. The story is the highlight of the game. It takes a while for the events to unfold, but it's simply amazing and worth the investment. With each discovery, you feel part of this metallic world.

🎮 Gameplay: ★★★★★

In terms of combat, I loved it. There's a good variety of weapons and several ways to approach each fight. Whether it's blowing up giant robots with well-placed fire arrows, setting traps everywhere, or just using the slingshot and explosive ammo, there are countless ways to take down the machines. Another interesting aspect is that you need to study them to understand the best approach to defeat each robot; some are immune to fire, ice, etc., so it's up to you to find the best strategy to beat them.

🔊 Sound Design: ★★★★☆

The environmental capture is excellent, the soundtrack is amazing, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, explosions, machine noises, everything is very well done. Nevertheless, the dubbing leaves something to be desired; it's not bad, as the voice actors do a great job, but the lack of expression from the characters is quite noticeable and may bother some people. All dialogues seem very robotic. At certain moments when the characters want to convey pain, loss, anger, or affection, the dubbing doesn't fit well with the facial expressions of the characters. But other than that, it's an incredible sound work.

⚠️ Bugs: ★★★☆☆

In regarding bugs, in almost 80 hours of gameplay, I didn't encounter bugs, glitches, or performance issues. However, I experienced a bug that persisted throughout my entire game, even when starting a new game+. At a certain point in the game, Aloy spear simply disappeared. When she used the spear to control machines, the spear was completely invisible haha. I could still convert the machines, but only that. Besides the spear being invisible, I couldn't use it in combat. This problem made the fights a bit more challenging since I couldn't use melee attacks. It was a rather unusual bug; I searched various forums, but no one seemed to have encountered anything similar. I contacted Guerrilla Games to inquire about a solution before starting a new game+. Although this happened to me, it's highly unlikely that you'll encounter the same type of bug. You may face other issues, but aside from this exception, I didn't encounter any other problems.

🗺️ Exploration: ★★★★★

Exploration in Horizon is incredible. Every scenario is detailed, every tree, every mountain. There are many places to visit, explore, and collect objects, totems, and ancient items. Most of them grant an achievement when you obtain them all. I explored every inch of the map, every robot habitat. I discovered 100% of everything, and I can say with authority that all the game's scenarios are beautiful and unique. I spent hours walking through the landscape, admiring the beauty. But this can become a problem for some because, despite the map being beautiful and detailed, I felt the lack of missions. The game has a considerable number of side missions to be completed. They're not tedious like many games that repeat missions, but they're not few either. For me, who loved this world and wanted to spend more time in it, I wished there were more tasks to do, more characters to meet.
