Let's say, it works on a technical basis, at least in singleplayer as I have played.

The AI does not respond to trade offers from you at all. They only make offers themselves, under their conditions, and trade with each other to help them win, but don't trade with you. You can offer them 8 ressources for any of the other, they still block everything. As the AI does all moves instantly, it's sometimes not clear what really happened that turn.

Just don't even bother, for any reason. It's not even worth it when it's free.

Game would be nice if it was actually playable as a Coop-game. The fact that you have to go on all expeditions and all assigned missions solo and without help neither makes sense nor a good game experience. "Let's just sit there for an hour cause we have to do some campaign missions all by ourselves" has never been a better motto for the evening with friends.

Definitely a shooter with a more outstanding tactical element

Witziger und kurzweiliger Diablo-Klon.
Die Hauptstory selbst ist recht kurz durchgespielt, lässt aber viele Areale unerkundet und bietet daher genug weiteren "Spielplatz". Durch Herausforderungen und selbstauferlegte Debuffs um besseres Loot zu erhalten kann Victor Vran auch angenehm knackig und schwierig werden.
Besonderes Herzstück sind einerseits die Waffen mit vielen möglichen Traits und die Auswahl an Buffs durch Tarotkarten wie auch der besonders unterhaltsame Kommentator im Kopf des Charakters, mit nicht wenigen Anspielungen an die Populärkultur.
Für den Preis sehr angenehm und schön!

Es ist ein vereinfachtes Total War. Kein riesiger taktischer oder strategischer Tiefgang, aber doch sehr unterhaltsam, mit vielen neuen Features die mir sehr gefallen. Sowohl Rekrutierung als auch Technologiebaum ist deutlich frischer und angenehmer als es in bisherigen Spielen der Fall war, und ich mag Britannia besonders wegen der etwas schnelleren Kampagnen als spaßiges Strategiespiel für zwischendurch.
Wer wirklich gefordert werden will, sollte Britannia (wie wahrscheinlich alle zukünftigen Saga-Ableger) eher ignorieren.

Extremely funny game, especially in Coop. The missions do require both strategy and tactics to master, and this influences the cooperative gameplay (as one can take pure ironclads and the other pure weapons). Whoever is okay with the style and overall concept should get this one.
