A true sequel over GW1 - it improves massively over its predecessor. The campaign is creative and never dull, very unlike its successor. Quests are fun and varied; side quests are no exception. Garden Ops (online coop multiplayer) and its vs. multiplayer in my opinion are its strongest features.

Achievements are reasonable, except for a few (7) that are now unobtainable because EA dropped support of the events, but can still be obtained through mods 'legitimately', that is to say, you still have to work for the achievement the same way as if EA did not drop support for it.

Game performance is solid - no crashes. Some hitches with EA server connection, but in my period of play, it's nothing serious as some experienced.

A surprise masterpiece of a game.

One of the best looking games I've played! And I don't say that lightly! RE Engine works flawlessly. Game runs smooth all throughout. Although there is no ultrawide support! (It has been patched day 1 by fans though)

Devil May Cry 5 lives up to the hype. I learned of that right from the very start. After just playing the prologue, I was absolutely convinced that I am in for a great show. This is not an exaggeration. And I was right. Except maybe the narrative in the last half, I have no beef with the game and I absolutely loved it.

Although some DMC enthusiasts might disagree, I believe that DMC5 still improves over both DMC3 and 4. Even after playing for 15 hours, I feel like I still have much to learn. The game has that much depth. The game does not lack in variety either. 3 playable characters with different styles, and there are boss fights here and there and they are well designed. I haven't fully explored the cameo/coop system yet, but I think it's a great addition. Capcom has perfected the gameplay of hack and slash. When it comes to freeflowing hack and slash, look no further.

Regarding the narrative, it was just a nitpick from a die hard DMC fan. I couldn't help but compare it to the famous legendary final battle in DMC1, where Dante takes on Mundus in a new dimension or universe and they fight to the death with meteors, laser/particle beams, dragons, lightning bolts and more. Since this is the very last DMC, I would have loved to see that kind of scale in DMC5, but it failed marvelously in that aspect. There is also another one but it's a spoiler so I will abstain.

I looked at the achievements and I think they are great, although there will be grinding, it largely and ultimately focuses on skill, which I think is important. If you're a completionist and want to get all the achievements, you have to 'git gud'. You have to master the game and I plan to do that, since the game is that enjoyable to play.

If you're a new gamer wanting to play the series, I still will recommend DMC5. There is a main menu option where the story is summarized in a video presentation so you won't miss much.

Couple this game with Resident Evil 2 Remake, it has been a great start for Capcom this year.

Just finished the Leon Kennedy campaign and I think the game definitely meets the hype. You'd know when you play the game. You'll say, "Yeah this is an AAA game." --- it's masterful and polished. The game design is well done. The voice acting is great. Gameplay is what you would expect from a survival horror game. The atmosphere and sound effects are spot on. Was on the edge of my seat for the rest of the game! It was scary, but for a good reason, unlike Outlast where it's just plain stupid scary, imho. This is like 'masterful scary', if there's such a term. I did ready myself for the jump scares but yeah, when it comes, no amount of preparation is enough! But then you'll laugh it off right after since it was so well timed and intelligently placed.

And finally, the performance and graphics are amazing. I love it. RE Engine does the job (big hopes for Devil May Cry 5! since it uses the same engine). The game does not require a powerful CPU, but at the highest settings, you might need a high end GPU, specially at high resolutions. Although I have a heavily overclocked RTX 2080 Ti, I did not recall any stutters or slowdowns in any particular area of the game. It ran flawlessly for the entire campaign. That's why I even underclocked both my CPU and GPU for the rest of the campaign since I felt like the game will still run flawlessly no sweat (game still averaged 110fps+ at 3440x1440 max settings, 120% image quality). Tweaking the settings will net you significant performance boosts without much visual degradation. This allows people to still enjoy most of the benefits even with a lower end GPU.

Achievements also looked reasonable, I plan to get all of them and will get back on this review when I get them all.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is definitely worth your money. The only thing that bothers me is that Claire and Leon campaign are essentially the same (from what I've read in the net), so it doesn't make much sense to finish both campaigns just for the true ending, and this takes away a point in my rating. 9/10

Still absolutely recommended!

Note:
I haven't played the original RE2.

3DMark offers a variety of test suites to measure your system's performance and stability. This is a no-brainer purchase for every overclocker.

If you're not an overclocker, I still suggest you try this program. If you want to test the stability of your new GPU overclock, or if you have a new PC and want to know exactly how much faster it is than your old one, or you just want to test the limits of your cooling, then 3DMark has all that what you need. Interface is simple and easy to navigate with.

Your benchmark results are also saved and uploaded online, so you can go back anytime and review your scores (you can also compare your results with others). Definitely a great software for synthetic benchmarks and stress testing.

It is also worthy to mention that the new addition, Port Royal, is a good benchmark for those with RTX GPUs.

Needless to say, I recommend this to every overclocker and PC enthusiast!

275 hours in I finally completed the achievements 100%.

A quick summary of my gameplay experience:
> Performance is solid, no stutters, never experienced a single crash! Benchmarking software shows a solid framerate line, which other games fail to do (the line oscillates greatly)
> Optimization could arguably be poor, as I am using a GTX 1080 Ti OC'd but only outputs 60 fps at 2560x1440 resolution. And NO ULTRAWIDE SUPPORT, not to mention textures are lower than that of an XBOX!
> Connection issues are present at the start, but it was improved as of the latest patch. Random DCs still occur every now and then
> This is a new meta / genre for me, the pace of the game is rather slow (hunting, menuing, etc - they feel sluggish), but the timings are tight (evading tackles, roars, etc - window is small) and the learning curve is a bit high / deep (every monster has its own moveset, and there are several weapon classes which have their own strengths and weaknesses but all are fairly balanced)
> Achievements are great, although the hardest to get (crowns) are completely RNG based, but there is a way to ease up the process. And that process is a whole new gameplay experience in itself --- You measure the monsters! That itself is very fun to play.

Overall, I enjoyed playing this game and I will easily recommend it to anyone as it is a fairly new genre for PC AFAIK.

DOOM is one of the most fun FPS games I've played in quite a while. The action is very fast-paced and the gameplay is extremely satisfying. The formula is simple but I didn't find it repetitive and boring. It has enough variety to keep me at the edge of my seat almost all the time. The campaign is very well-designed and directed. You won't regret taking your time exploring an obscure spot because you most likely will find a secret or a collectible. I haven't played the multiplayer aspect yet, so I have nothing to say about that for now.

Another thing worthy of mention is that this game performs really well. I've never had a crash in my entire playthrough, (maybe except for the glitch in the achievements which forced me to replay the entire campaign!) and the game plays buttery smooth all throughout. Probably the only complaint I have for this game is the achievements, where almost half of it comes from the multiplayer aspect which will take you at least 100 hours to get. That doesn't make sense for me. Finally, the standard edition includes all the DLC so you don't have to worry about purchasing anything else.

If you like some fast-paced shooting game then I would highly recommend that you try this game. Now go and crack some demon skulls!

I'll get straight to the point. Batman: Arkham Knight is the most refined of the trilogy in terms of gameplay and graphics. Rocksteady has perfected the art of Batman games. They have improved and expanded the world of Arkham City even more in a way that Arkham City feels little compared to the Arkham Knight.

However, in terms of plot, I somehow found it somewhere in between Asylum and City. It's better than Asylum, but a bit lacking compared to City. I don't know. It's just that I think that Arkham City just nails it when it comes to the plot and the overall feel of the game. The villains are simply beautifully integrated into the campaign. It's as if Joker planned everything out perfectly. But in Arkham Knight, it seems that the villains are just forced into the plot. It doesn't feel natural at all. But this is just me being hard on Rocksteady because they've raised the bar so high, I have to nitpick stuff just to find flaws. Nonetheless, this game is absolutely beautiful when all settings are turned up to high and the gameplay experience is just amazing, specially if you're playing on an ultrawide resolution. Try it on an ultrawide monitor!

You don't want to miss this series.

The first of the epic Batman trilogy by Rocksteady. What a game. Epic plot and story telling, great voice acting, smooth and freeflowing action gameplay, perfect atmosphere and graphics, what else can I say? The game manages to stay great all throughout. Great job Rocksteady. Just wow.

This is the game where I was left with the impression that I've played a truly awesome game when I finished it. I'm quite a critique myself and rarely had that feeling but this game manages to do it. A must play for all you Batman fans out there. If you're not a Batman fan, make sure you give this game a chance, this is going to be one of the best games you'll ever play.

Note: Make sure you turn on PhysX to high. This is one of the few games that utilizes nVidia PhysX and it greatly enhances gameplay experience. You don't wanna miss it.

The second of the epic Batman trilogy by Rocksteady. Again, what a game. Epic plot and story telling, great voice acting, smooth and freeflowing action gameplay, perfect atmosphere and graphics, what else can I say? The game manages to stay great all throughout and greatly improves on its predecessor. Before playing the game the first time, I didn't expect Rocksteady to be able to do all that, but I was proven wrong. Great job Rocksteady again. Wow.

Absolutely enjoyable game to play with friends! May it be casually or competitively, it is impossible to deny that this game is as fun as it can get. Playing this first-person-shooting game gives me unadulterated bliss.

As for the campaign, the formula is simple: Survive by killing zombies. The missions are pretty straightforward but well designed. The game has enough variety to make you lose track of time.

Absolutely highly recommended
