Two years. We were playing the Forest a few weeks back. For a brief moment when we were all covered in cannibal bits, accidentally getting lit on fire and squealing like little girls in dark caves, I thought of you. You always knew how to bring everyone together, make us laugh, like we were all old friends. There were serious times too. I remember how you listened when I shared life events, only to remember and follow up with genuine concern and empathy. I feel remorse that I didn't realize quite how serious it was. Wish you were here, Jebus.

Jebus, it's been well over a year and every time your name comes up on a game that you wishlisted or that we played coop, I get a catch in my throat and a tear in my eye. Saturday night coop isn't the same without you. I hope they have Sonic Racing wherever you are, you poopsocker.

Hard to believe it's been a year already. I really regret that I was oblivious to your situation, almost willfully, in hindsight. I thought we could have talked about anything and everything but I wasn't able to read between the lines. I guess at the very least none of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matters anymore.
