As a game, Infinite Wealth takes Yakuza: LAD and adds new features for combat as well as quality of life enhancements. The game is a blast to play. However, I cannot recommend it in good conscious due to basic game features locked behind a $20 dlc. It's such a sad thing to see as a long time Yakuza fan. If you're itching to play the game as soon as possible like I was, pick up the standard edition. Otherwise wait for a sale as it will probably be $30 dollars or less in a few months.

EDIT: After an extra 60 hours of game time, I have to say there is plenty of content in the game to not have to worry about NG+ for quite a while. I will probably purchase the upgrade once it goes on sale. Still a very strange decision for SEGA but I guess they knew the game would do well anyways.

As of the start of this review I have made it to chapter 3 and while I love everything Motive has done creatively, I keep running into technical issues. I get weird stuttering where Isaac stops taking input for a few seconds, I've had necromorphs not fully load in yet they grab me, and the worst issue of all is a reoccurring glitch that will bring up the inventory menu whenever I press E to open a door or pickup an item. This has cleared up a few times by relaunching the game but it seems to come back after 15 mins of play. I really want to keep playing but its aggravating to have to deal with a menu opening and closing repeatedly. Until this is fixed, its a no go for me.

One of the best action games ever made. I've given this game a few hundred hours on PS4 last year and I intend to play even more on steam.

tl;dr Okay game, probably get on sale.

I was expecting this game to be the best of the year, but unfortunately a few hours in i just felt sick and wanted it to be over. I started the game on nightmare and had a great time until about halfway in and completed it on ultra-violent. ID Software are amazing developers but they have unfortunately changed the ideology of DOOM. DOOM 2016 gave you weapons, enemies, a level and let you do your own thing. Eternal starts as more of the same but then confusingly throws in tons of platforming, only a handful of new enemy types, and a strange weak point system which forces you to switch into weapons you may not enjoy using. The chainsaw has been untouched mechanically, which is strange to me. There are barely enough gas canisters in the game to keep even close to three charges. Ammo feels much more scarce, which makes the chainsaw more important, but since there are barely any gas cans, you resort to waiting for it to charge and using it on fodder instead of a big threat. The Marauder is the biggest issue I have with the game. He feels unfinished, constantly glitching his shield up and down in an attempt to show you that YOU CANNOT ATTACK HIM YET. The only real fun I had was during the final boss fight. The game finally gives up and starts to give out gas and other consumable charges like it was hiding them from you until then. Really disappointed in this one, but a decent waste of a day.

Minus the memes, Guacamelee is a very well put together Metroid-like with a fast paced beat-em-up combat system.

Pretty much the best wave survival "zombie" game ever made. Blows CoD zombies out of the water (as if anyone liked it in the first place).

Don't be fooled. It may look like a rip-off of Saints Row the Third, but it actually is an entirely different game in a semi-familiar location. This Saints Row is more akin to Crackdown and loves to poke fun at Mass Effect, Call of Duty, The Matrix and many other pop culture icons. It's also just plain wacky which gives it its own flavor, rather than being a simple GTA clone. 8/10 Great fun.

Best RPG I've ever played. Pick it up for the sheer fact that you can kick people into spikes, into pits, into other enemies, and even off cliffs. Not to mention the combat is strategic and the skill tree is literally like a branched tree. Its a shame that the devs couldn't make Dishonored good.
