I bought this game before it came to Steam and thus have a lot more hours played than what is logged in Steam. It is my favorite game of all time. It is one of the only games that suck me in for often more than 5 hours and it normally only lets me go do other stuff if I really have to. This is really comparable with my experience of minecraft.

I think for an early access title some basic things are very important: clarity about what is happening, constant content updates and a game with significant content already. Factorio has all of this. The devs publish a blog post every week since they began I think. They write about interesting topics and encourage discussion. The game is updated frequently and in my experience the updates really make a difference. As you see in the trailers there is a lot of content and my current game I play with two friends is already several dozens of hours long and we are only now almost finished with all the tech tree. Also the game has a lot of replayability.

I love the game. Go buy it!
