Yes, she was her buddy, and also her enemy.

"Yo, buddy, still alive?"

10/10 Totally worth selling half of my steam inventory to buy this game.
The enemy attacks seem undodgeable at first, but then you give in to the madness, see the attack patterns, and realize this is over the shoulder touhou with plane mecha girls.

"And thanks, friend. See you again."

Great game, highly recommended.

The gameplay isn't great, it's a pretty easy game, but the story is masterfully written and kept me interested to keep coming back as soon as I could, and the ending was just as great as the journey leading to it.

Also brought some nostalgic feelings from old PSX and PS2 games, like the Xeno series, as it had a very similar feel to them.

It lasted 10 hours and it was well worth the price I paid.

Highly recommended.

The story is great early on and it quickly devolves into a rushed, non-sensical mess, probably due to the development cycle, but despite the story, it was still such a great and pleasant game, I put many hours and even dedicated myself to get all achievements and awards available in-game and on Steam.

Story aside, the radio chatter between characters is great, gives a bit of background noise and makes the game feel alive, like you have partners fighting along you or rivals that hunt or fear you... when it works though, it's horrible when it's used for exposition.

The gameplay is both calming at times and sweaty, adrenaline filled at others. It feels great to feel the weight of the aircrafts as you accelerate and maneuver it, every kill is very satisfying and each plane and loadout excels at different things, you will definitely find a playstyle that suits you if you experiment enough. Also, it has several accessibility configs for new players.

Finally, one thing that always brings a game together for me is the soundtrack. It makes or breaks a game for me. I can grind endlessly as long as the tunes are great and I might just mute a great game and put my own music if the ost is bad. Ace Combat 7 excels in its score and music design, with its dynamic music changing with the situations, I'd say the season pass is worth it just for the music. Ah, the mission DLCs are amazing too, speaking of which.

Are you an experienced player or new to the series? Are you new to games in general? Try this game, it's great.

In a few words, this game is amazing.

Fun Hack n' Slash gameplay with tight controls, very difficult and unforgiving game, mainly so in the prologue, I don't recommend starting it on hard, it's a game that, unless you're used to the genre you should start in Normal or easier, if you're absolutely incompetent, don't worry, the game can be very accessive by enabling chips that basically play the game for you.

The story, though, now that's the thing, this game has 5 true endings, unlike other games you don't start the game all the way over to get the different endings, each and every play through is truly different from the previous one, either by introducing a different playable character or more story elements, so if you're afraid of getting burned out by starting a new game+, don't be, try it out first, it's a whole new thing.

This game can be very depressing, be it via the main story or it's side quests. Sometimes it will throw you something that gives you hope, but most of the time, it will try to crush you, make you question your existence and objectives and I love it. This game said something that I've always thought about, it connected to me in a very deep level, so I hanged on, 'till the very last true ending, ending E...

...that ending really gives you hope to keep on, no matter how hard it gets.

Oh, and to the person who I gave up all my time and effort to help! Life can be quite the ♥♥♥♥♥, it might be meaningless and you will suffer a lot, but so what? Memory wasn't made for us to remember or good times, it's there so we don't repeat our mistakes. Suffering and hardship makes us stronger, if we can get past it!

Time is only wasted if you think it is, when you do the things you love, that isn't wasted time, nah, that's called 'time well spent'.

So struggle, scream, cry and fight, even if it's all really meaningless and futile, because isn't it fun, to hang on to this tiny hope, to deny when life it says to give up, to fight the impossible?

I know I love it and I wouldn't have it any other way, so hang on, I'm here with you, even if you think you're alone.

Great game, very fun and nostalgic. Breaking your head trying find hidden ares and to figure out how to save everyone in every situation while keeping yourself safe. The tension is great even if you're just watching. Mix platforming with puzzle, and you have Oddworld.
Now, it's not all fun and rainbows, New 'n' Tasty has it's share of flaws, the game needs quite a bit of optimization for laptops, so expect a fps drop that will mess up your timing, the cutscenes can get all choppy, there is a small input delay, and since you can move more freely now, your move is not restricted by "tiles" anymore, you can get caught in certain traps that you might have felt safe, so movement is a bit imprecise.
Apart from these flaws it's all a very familiar place for anyone who has been an old time fan of the series, and definitely a great game for newcomers.
