I've owned on Dead by Daylight console since the Scorching Summer BBQ event in 2018 only playing it every now and then with friends usually in customs. I started playing more consistently after the release of the Stranger Things Chapter in 2019 racking up about 1,000 hours before switching to PC. I've been through a lot of the games up 'n' downs since I started playing and I can confidently say the games overall state has improved and the balance between both sides is slowly coming together. The community isn't really as 'toxic' as people say there's just a loud minority of players that like to pick issue with things then proceed to make said issues worse. The biggest issue I've had with the game has been consistent for the past year and that is the new 'skill based' match making system implemented last fall, the game in it's simplest form is a casual, play for fun game yet the new matchmaking system encourages players to try and win each game with no visible reward for doing so. The balance of the game is not and will never be in state to support competitive play hence all the restrictions put in place during player run tournaments. I'm now at almost 3,000 hours on my PC account, I've consistently enjoyed killer more than survivor but that's personal preference and the only reason I'm still playing as much as I do is simply the people I've met through playing and I like the characters I can play as, no other game can give you the experience that Dead by Daylight gives you it's just up to you to determine whether that experience is positive or negative... Although with collectively almost 4,000 hours split between survivor and killer the core game play loop is becoming stale.

The audio in game itself isn't bad, it's actually pretty good but audio through objects and walls can completely cut off which can cause issues for both sides but particularly killer.
