I bought this game on sale for $40, and I think that was a reasonable price for this port. I've been waiting over 10 years to play this game, and while it was a good experience overall, I can’t help but feel like it didn’t hit as hard as I thought it would.

To be fair, I played Red Dead Redemption 2 first, and everything in Red Dead Redemption inevitably gets compared to it. The story, gameplay, and world-building are all solid in their own right, but RDR2 just does it better in almost every way. It’s not a knock on this game as much as it’s a testament to how much RDR2 elevated the series.

One nice bonus is that it comes with the Undead Nightmare DLC. The DLC starts strong and has some cool moments, but after a while, it got repetitive and boring for me. The lack of fast travel made exploring the undead-infested world more of a chore than it needed to be.

The more I played Final Fantasy XVI, the more I found myself disliking it—but that doesn’t necessarily make it a bad game. With its highs come a fair share of lows, which the game delivers in abundance.

The cinematics and boss fights are nothing short of spectacular—unlike anything I’ve experienced before. They can literally give you chills. However, the excitement is often followed by a disappointing low, such as a mission that feels utterly meaningless. Then there’s the overwhelming number of side quests, which are incredibly dull. Most follow the same formula: talk to someone, fight some enemies, deliver an item, and talk again to complete the quest. That’s essentially every side quest in the game.

You can clearly tell that the Final Fantasy XIV team was involved in this project, as the game feels very MMO-like. The world itself is empty and barren. Besides encountering a few enemies to fight, there’s really nothing else to do—just fight, loot some chests, and pick up materials scattered on the ground. This lack of depth contributes to the game’s highly linear structure, where you simply move from one mission to the next, with no real opportunity for exploration.

I’m glad it finally made its way to Steam, even if it wasn’t worth the wait. However, the characters are extremely lovable—especially Clive. Ben Starr’s performance as Clive was absolutely phenomenal, bringing to life a well-written character that I’m sure people will love and enjoy.

I’m still playing through the DLC at the moment, but if you’re a Final Fantasy fan or someone who loves a long RPG with DMC-like combat, I’d definitely give it a shot. Overall, just a great 8/10 video game.

One of my most nostalgic game series finally made its way to Steam otherwise I would've not experienced this masterpiece on PC. From the complex story, to the wonderful music and boss fights, well designed and lovable characters, everything about this game just makes me feel a certain way. If it wasn't for one of my close friends I would have never gotten in to this series at all. It is definitely worth a play-through and especially for the price you get countless hours of experience with all the games combined.

The Plucky Squire is a charming, fun indie game that brings a fresh twist to platformers with its seamless blend of 2D and 3D gameplay! It's like a playful mix of classic Mario mechanics with some extra flair, and the transitions between perspectives keep things exciting. The visuals are adorable, and the level design is creative, making it easy to get lost in its cute, vibrant world.

That said, while the story is sweet, it doesn’t dig too deep—it’s more about the adventure and gameplay here. If you're a fan of indie gems that offer unique twists on familiar mechanics, this one’s a must-play. We need more games like The Plucky Squire.

God of War: Ragnarök takes everything great about the 2018 reboot and cranks it up. The story dives even deeper, packed with plot twists that go far beyond the last game, and Kratos and Atreus’ relationship is more intense and meaningful than ever. Every moment feels raw, emotional, and incredibly real.

The combat is just perfection—new weapons, skills, and enemies that keep every fight fresh and satisfying. And each realm is breathtakingly detailed, pulling you into the heart of Norse mythology.

Then there’s the Valhalla roguelike DLC, an absolute gem that adds countless more hours of gameplay. It was the perfect bonus to keep me coming back. Honestly, this series is one of the greatest I’ve ever played, and Ragnarök left a real mark on me. Here’s hoping the next entry takes us to Egypt—and with a Day 1 PC release please SONY.

Took me nearly 100 hours to get the platinum trophy and 100 percent with Valhalla but it was well worth it. And to people not willing to give the game a chance because of a PlayStation account requirement. You are missing out on PEAK. A masterpiece of a game.

Black Myth: Wukong is an eye-catcher, no doubt about it. The game looks absolutely incredible, and it’s clear the combat system took a lot of inspiration from the God of War series—especially with those heavy, impactful attacks and fluid cutscene transitions. If you like that style, you’ll probably get hooked by the boss fights alone. They’re challenging, engaging, and definitely the highlight of the game.

What I liked:

Epic Boss Fights: The game is basically one epic boss fight after another, and honestly, that’s where it shines. Each boss feels unique and requires you to adapt, and the difficulty keeps things interesting. If you enjoy tough but rewarding combat, this is for you.

Cutscenes & Visuals: Seriously, the cutscenes are top-tier. It’s like watching a movie. There’s so much detail and care put into the way the story is told, and it keeps you immersed in the world.

Upgrades & Skill Tree: The progression system is pretty solid. There’s enough flexibility in the skill tree to let you experiment with different playstyles, and upgrading your gear feels satisfying without becoming a grindfest.

What I didn’t like:

Not Much Between Boss Fights: As fun as the boss fights are, there’s not a lot to do in between. You’ll find yourself moving from one big encounter to the next without much else going on. The game feels kind of empty outside of combat, which is a shame considering how cool the world looks.

No Map, No Clear Direction: This was my biggest gripe. The game doesn’t give you a map, and there’s very little guidance on where to go. It’s linear, but there are plenty of secrets and hidden paths, so it’s super frustrating when you’re stuck wandering around aimlessly. For a game that has some really cool level design, not having a map or more direction just makes it more of a headache.

All in all, Black Myth: Wukong is worth playing if you’re into games like God of War, where the focus is on intense, skill-based combat. The boss fights are killer, and the visuals are breathtaking. But outside of those core elements, it’s a bit bare. Lack of direction can be frustrating, and the space between bosses could’ve been more fleshed out. Still, if you’re here for the fights, it’ll deliver.

Kingdom Hearts 2.8 gives you 3 experiences, but only one is a full game. The others are a tech demo for KH3 and a cutscene movie. I didn’t enjoy Dream Drop Distance as much as others—it’s just a 3DS port with a unique, but nothing-major feel. It’s great for hardcore fans, but not worth the full price. If you get it with the Kingdom Hearts Integrum bundle, then it's worth the try. Otherwise, wait for a sale.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm explores Chloe Price's past and her relationship with Rachel Amber, offering some emotional backstory for fans of the original game. While the art and music maintain the series' signature vibe, the game itself feels short and rushed, with only three episodes that leave much of the story underdeveloped. The writing often falls flat, lacking the depth and impact of its predecessor. Overall, it's a decent addition for fans craving more context, but it doesn't capture the same magic, making it feel somewhat dull and forgettable.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a visually stunning and brutally challenging game that offers an intense combat experience. The parry-focused combat is incredibly satisfying and demands precision, but the lack of a map often left me lost and frustrated, breaking the immersion. Some of the boss fights, particularly against larger beasts like the flaming bull, felt awkward and didn’t quite fit the game’s parry-centric mechanics. Same goes with the Demon of Hatred which didn't make sense since you're a samurai with a sword why would I need to fight some of these massive enemies.

While Sekiro is great, I’d still give the Game of the Year award to the Resident Evil 2 remake. Having played Elden Ring first, I found Sekiro less enjoyable due to its linearity and some frustrating design choices. It’s a solid game, but not my top pick. I honestly found Ghosts of Tsushima's combat much more satisfying than this games. After the 100 percent of this game, I don't find myself coming back to this game anytime soon as each play-through feels the same. It is worth a shot if you are into difficult games and also into the genre of souls like.

Life is Strange offers a compelling story with engaging themes and characters, but it's held back by cringey dialogue and writing. While it's not as good as other story games in its genre, like Detroit: Become Human or Telltale games, it still keeps the audience engaged. Though it lacks in gameplay, the unique narrative and time-rewinding mechanics make it worth playing if you can overlook the awkward dialogue. You should definitely play this in time to prepare for the next installment that features Max's return which I hope improves on what this one delivered.
