Arguably the best video game ever designed.

I'm giving it a negative review because I don't like of several issues: Having one-shot rifles has been a staple in many games but in an FPS like Battalion 1944, the time-to-kill (TTK) is way too high for automatic weapons as well as the recoil. Both these factors exacerbate the issue and it becomes very unfun when it's just people no-scoping or using the Kar98k or Nagant. It's how shallow this meta feels that I'm disappointed in it, I've only played it for less than an hour and that's my at-a-glance perspective of it.

It doesn't help that the maps are very small, which lends to the game running quite well. But it's very easy to get spawn killed all too often which makes you question if that was fun or intended game design. Then there's this one map I played which was a very small forest and cement compound, which people could just shoot across the whole map. So if you weren't being spawn killed, walking a few steps from the covered spawn areas would bring you into a firing zone already.
