Ergonomics be damned, I now fully understand why I can never keep still.

Oops, what a hilariously poor time to post about a new event!

Never have I felt more useless as a player - its either exploit the AI or send the AI into the AI and hope for the best. Great presentation, terrible UX. Good storytelling, clunky throwables.
At best, its a gunstroker game with little to no progression beyond a list of levels.

The squatting makes it a 10/10 though.

I'd rather have characters I hate than characters I care nothing for like in Heat.

Its pretty lackluster. Good first impressions, but falters instantly with FOMO, premium currencies, little content with big grinds, a bloated amount of characters, and a skill ceiling for PVE adjusted to top players- you know something's wrong when a community post is made to show people how to play events/maps.

Also smokes have been exploited since the beta and never been patched. Let that sink in.

Sure this game is cheap and worth a spin from time to time, play some multiplayer with friends.
The premise, presentation and themes around the cars and the world is stellar (or rather, interstellar), the cars feel fast and weighty, and the weapons, even though pretty run-of-the-mill if you've played enough combat racers from the 2000s, they give a solid feel be it firing it or receiving it.

But if you're playing this for a single hardcore experience, you're looking in the wrong place. And there's a lot of room for polish and improvement.

Tips that suggest certain moves do not feel like features, such as burnouts, and some are not consistent or helpful in any way, such as flipping your car over when reversing.

Tracks are not streamlined once they become more complex and difficult, but having no rails on roads after positioning your car onto such roads makes them near impossible to stay on them. You will more likely run into small geometry or bumps that will put your car into a halt or just race and experience. Invisible walls do not cone into the track so you will still be tossed around even if the map is trying to keep you on the course.
AI cars are fun to battle, but they do (as all racers do) become more and more rubberbandy. Mainly with steering; they will veer into boost pads and powerups from each side of the road without any consequences, but often one bump or effect will make them take off track, forcing them to respawn.

Physics, air-control and weapons are inconsistent: Minor adjustments after jumps make the grip overadjust and make you veer off, air-control input forgets which way its needing to pitch so you will occasionally nosedive when you're adjusting orientation. Oh and sometimes one single machinegun shot is all it takes to make you soumersault off the track somehow.

Aside from that, its alright. Good party game if you have people around to play split screen.

Never have i had so much control of my speed before, yet the game still thinks im too slow

I still don't know where I'm going half the time
But that's okay
I enjoy the feeling of always moving forward
