It's one of those gems that I will most likely play again at a later time to uncover all the different dialogue paths.

Early Access Review
I'm sorry to not recommend this game, yet.
I'm aware of what Early Access means. I understand the challenges and that money is always the one thing you don't have enough of. But there is also the fine line not to cross, what you want to show players early and what not. This one needs a lot more time to be considered worthy to the public.
The performance is critically bad. The camera is jittery all the time. Please find a way to make camera, movement and input frame rate independent. On a Geforce GTX 970 even the rendering performance is nearly always below 50 while not looking close to what you see on the screenshots or the trailer.

So, not yet recommendable. Time will tell.

Update:
The developer asked me to reevaluate. So I did.
The good things: Some of the negatives I mentioned have been slightly improved, such as the input and camera movement, but I wouldn't call it smooth by any standard. More than 18 months later the game is still in an alpha state. It officially says so in the game's menu. Performance with basically nothing going on is maybe a bit better, but barely acceptable. I could not in good conscience recommend the game in this state.

Quite excellent, even in the cut German version. Better this way than the game being on the index in Germany. It's not the developers' fault.

Still my favourite game after more than 10 years. Great replay potential even after such a long time, especially with the recent visual improvements. I was once discussing with a colleague why I still love this game, he suggested it can only be nostalgia and can't be of the same quality of newer games. I wholeheartedly disagreed. It's still a very modern game with an exceptional atmosphere, gameplay and story.
If, by any chance, you haven't played this game yet, play it now. You shall not regret it.

Do yourself a favour and get this masterpiece of a game right now. If you like puzzles to a degree, you will dearly love it. But even if you don't, you will love physical puzzles after this. Portal 2 is the perfect sequel just as Halflife 2 was for Halflife.

This is a very atmospheric, story-driven game. The visuals are breath-taking, lots of detail on the screen. Sometimes the details seems too much, making it difficult for orientation. The gameplay can be separated into boss-fights and the rest. I'm not a big fan of boss-fights or script-driven combat, so I had my share of frustration with them. Overall the game could use a little more open-world feeling. Don't try to script everything.
But in general this was a great gaming experience and the game can be recommended to all shooter fans.
