Officer Tuba

Cars bellering sputtering chimneys stifling smothering people hastily baking away.
James, I must retire to the country; should I linger much longer, I shall surely expire.
James, all I want are some horsies, a nice river with fishies, and a cold place to die.
Saddle up, the blacksmith has fashioned blades.
Skating thoroughbreds on frozen Mississippi.
Shooting holes to catch the fishies hit and run.
Viscous thoughts slosh slowly on through cluttered mind.
Fishies figure eight and horsies butterfly.
Butler scratches chin and sighs, wonders why.

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.

He entered the navy in 1931, completing a four-year course at the Royal Naval Engineering College at Keyham. During the Second World War Turner travelled to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to commission and bring back HMS Newark to the United Kingdom; then spent a period at the RNEC and at HMS Condor (the Royal Naval Air Station at Arbroath), before joining the aircraft carrier HMS Indomitable in 1944 as air engineer officer.[1] Indomitable was the carrier squadron flagship in the British Pacific Fleet and Turner's department maintained a very high aircraft serviceability rate for the fleet's strikes. Turner was twice mentioned in despatches, having taken part in air strikes against Okinawa, Japan in 1945.

He had been sitting on the beach for the past three hours. He never understood why he would sit out there for so long but here he is. The skin on his forearm is still red and stings slightly. he would need to rub aloe on it whn he got home.
