Peak videogame with peak movement and great presentation. Scratches an itch I have been hunting for for ages for a fun multiplayer RPG with a fun grind (outside Monster Hunter)

I desperately want more content and am so excited to see where this game goes!

Peak, my GOTY for sure.

Great story, fascinating characters, awesome world, and fantastic OST. Loved it through and through. There is Persona DNA in the game, however I felt the game was still a very unique experience. No doubt partially due to the different setting and overall story structure, yet it continues to mechanically differ itself as well. It brings in improvements and new ideas to mechanics Persona introduces while also having a combat and class system that sets itself apart. I love that it was really easy to do all the bonding (basically social links) in one run without much of a guide, as said bonds unlock new classes and paths for classes. This also gives me more time to explore, fulfill requests and go to minor towns to explore items they sell (some selling weapons or armor that can repel, block and resist elements for certain classes, which is always a welcome change!)

For difficulty, I really don't think this is anywhere as hard as Shin Megami Tensei, but I felt it harder than Persona, as someone who likes to play all said games on the hardest difficulty available. You can really break the game in a few instances but I truly felt as if there were multiple bosses that gave me trouble in some way or form. Overall, love it to bits and highly recommend it.

I recommend this with a caveat. This should NOT have been sold to anyone who bought the expanded versions. Horrid decision.

That said, I really loved this expansion. The answer is divisive in the fanbase ultimately because of the way that the characters handle the main situation they are stuck in for the duration of the story. There is a lot of infighting between the cast members in how to proceed, and some felt that this was indicative of reversing character development. Some feel that the only strength to The Answer is the higher difficulty. This is what I was told about The Answer when I was first experiencing FES.

Now I finally got to experience it for myself. I’m not sure how different this is from the original, but I honestly felt that the character writing was actually fantastic, and overall lead to a theme of overcoming grief in a realistic, albeit abstract way and I am all here for that. The difficulty was also very nice. I generally only play on Merciless (Heartless in this version), and unlike the base game, I wasn’t able to brute force and Theurgy my way past every single problem I faced.

My main complaint is the fact that the dungeons are just the same 3-4 biomes recycled between each boss fight. At first I felt they were really cool, but over time I started to feel that other than the cool gold castle one, the others got boring real quick. Sure it varies the scenery, but I felt the base game’s Tartarus sections were way more varied, detailed and animated. I feel it would have benefitted from the same approach, rather than how unfocused the dungeon ended up feeling in this game (the dungeon which will be taking up just about all of your time in the DLC, by the way, so be prepared for that)

Tl:dr I really liked The Answer, it challenged me, it was well written, but I am still unhappy about the business practice.

I am so genuinely obsessed with this game and I genuinely want more kingsfieldlikes. I love the mechanics, the atmosphere, the music, the builds, everything is so fun to play around with I love it. I've played through this game multiple times and can't seem to get enough. I am begging you to give this game a try. I enjoyed every moment I had with this game and cannot recommend it enough.

Game is $3. Addicting. Insanely easy to sink too much time into. Highly recommend.

This game is basically playing an RPG without actually having to do anything and honestly I vibe with it.

Great game to have open on my second monitor while I screw around on different games/watch anime. Skill grinding is nice, since the game doesn't even need to be open in order to keep track of your progression. The limit for this is 12 hours though so at least log in every once in a while to reset the timer. The only skills you need the game to be open for are the combat skills, and even those can just be minimized once you buy the ability to auto-eat your healing items.

This game is very Runescape-esque with a good portion of it's mechanics, so keep in mind. They aren't very hard to pick up, fortunately, so you should be fine with no prior knowledge as long as you begin on Standard mode. I look forward to striving for 100% completion.

The Touhou series is one of my favorite series of all time, and now that it has an official Steam release, I highly reccomend this game.

Now, this isn't a game that's for everyone. It's a very challenging series that requires a good amount of practice and dedication, as most bullet hell do. Gladly, this entry in the series isn't by any means the hardest, making it a pretty good game to start on in my opinion.

I could probably write for a while as to what I like and don't like about the game, but I'll just turn it into a simple pro and con list.

Pros:
-Great Soundtrack.
-Very simple controls.
-Challenging Gameplay.
-(Mostly) Memorable Characters.
-Challenging, yet somehow memorable patterns.
-Visually nice/interesting to look at.
-You can play as Alolan form Cirno.

Cons:
-Some characters are kinda boring and easy to forget.
-Takes a good chunk of time to get good enough to complete the game. (This could also be a Pro if it's what you're looking for)
-Sparratic difficulty spikes, only really with a few specifically difficult spellcards amongst many easy spellcards.

I'm not going to add it not having English as a Con, however, as that can be easily patched through the various ways the Touhou community has been able to do so.
