If you are thinking whether to play Dead Space 2 or not after completing the remake of the first game... The answer is YES!
This is a masterpiece. Both in terms of plot and technical aspects. For 2011, it's just crazy. Can't believe they used to make such good games back then.

Heard a lot of good words about this game's sound, locations and mechanics from immersive sims "gurus".

Bruh all you're doing in this game is bunnyhopping through the whole level looking for the right way.
Sometimes you might find a note that says where to go or what to do but it doesn’t really help.
I'm not even talking about useless poorly drawn map you have.

Combat is just unprofitable for health.
Stealth is slow and boring.

Sound is the only thing I liked. No, it's not helping you with enemy positioning but the ambient in this game is pretty nice.

The audio in this game is so good I actually thought someone was crawling in the vents above my room (I don't have vents above my room).

Open world completely ruined this series' charm.

Tons of boring outposts, side missions and question marks on map that are created just to make your playtime bigger. They don't reward you and you have 0 motivation to discover them all. (they are also very repititve - same towers, same huts, etc.)

Pretty nice weaponary but you still will be playing with 1 set of favourite guns and utilities.
Shooting is very enjoyable tho.

Georgian setting is nice. I like these forests and mountains as a visual part. However, in terms of gameplay I hate it. I hate climbing these stupid rocks with clunky animations and I hate running between trees like a wild animal.
The game gives you a lot of cool sniping spots where you could easily avoid unnecessary parkour but because of it's *cool* resource management system you have to go down and loot everyhing and everyone. That sucks.

Sometimes your stealth is being ruined by developer's weird decisions. Sudden CCTV behind the corner that instantly alarms everyone around or a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ landmine that can be spotted only in focus mode???

In short, an open world game that seems to give you freedom of action still forces you to play the way it wants.

This whole game reminds me of those Stealth COD missions.

I hope that one developer who decided to add armor to enemies in Invasion Mode is not going to wake up tomorrow.
