Cool game, beautiful aesthetics, but rather difficult.
The recent patch fixed some bugs and noticeably improved performance for me, no more fatal errors so far.
While some rare performance issues still occur, the game is definitely playable and quite enjoyable. Therefor i can finally give Returnal a positive review!

The Erdtree is sadly overshadowed by some performance issues:
- FPS capped to 60, but "feels" less. Sometimes dips into 40-50 FPS on a RTX 4080 (latest drivers), lowest or max settings don't matter
- Noticeable micro-stuttering
- Still no ultra-wide support
- No DLSS / No Frame generation
They had so much time to upgrade the technical side of the game, especially for PC players, and they did not use the chance. Using mods to fix said problems were developed ages ago, and will unfortunately result in a BAN from online play!

One of the best games i ever played. I usually stay away from like rogue-likes, but this game has a nice learning curve and keeps you motivated with various changes to your character as you progress.
