Game is extremely repetitive and boring. Equally as unfair as isaac but lacks the variety and metagame/strategy that makes TBOI entertaining.

The entire gameplay loop can be summarized as:

Run around level to find chest/terminal/shrine.
Open chest/terminal/shrine with money and get a marginal damage/defense/mobility increase. If no money, kill enemies until you have money.
Repeat steps 1-2 for 10 minutes.
Find the teleporter and press E on it.
Run circles around boss and shoot until boss is dead. There is a 5% chance the game spawns a cluster of enemies offscreen that kill you in half a second.
Go to next stage and repeat from step 1.

As we speak I am contacting my secret network of terrorist rats across Steam and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my smoker rat. Not only am I extensively trained in rat-to-cat combat, but I have access to all the physics objects in Bad Rats and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little ♥♥♥♥. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tongue.
