Early Access Review
I have playtime on the original launcher, Blacksmith. Now that there is a Steam launch and account linking, many of us can finally leave our reviews.

All of the negative reviews on D&D's Steam re-release are not founded in much truth and built mostly on a slight miscommunication by IRONMACE. Even though IM communicated the terms of the f2p version before launching f2p, there are apparently a lot of people in the gaming community that can't read and need their free gibs to be happy.

IM has actually worked to implement more features into the f2p version. You're no longer handicapped by gear levels when going into normal raids. F2P can trade on the market now. You're barely handicapped anymore, and it seems as if IM is trying to provide a fair f2p model now that they have been given "constructive" feedback. Either way, the full game is $30, and you have to purchase it through your account on their website. This is probably the most troubling issue with D&D as it doesn't allow you to request a refund through Steam. At this point though, you have like 85% of the game unlocked in f2p, so you should be able to make a fair judgement on whether upgrading your account to Legendary or not is worth it.

Oh, and the game is really good. If you're a fan of survival and/or extraction style games, this is peak. There is a MASSIVE learning curve for beginners, but somehow it makes you want to keep playing even though you're dying over and over again.

Yeah, there are some performance issues(these can be worked around fairly easily). Yes, there are some pretty significant bugs. However, Grayzone is actually an incredibly fun game in its current EARLY ACCESS state. The gunplay is fairly smooth, and the gameplay loop will keep you coming back to your PC to keep progressing. Most of the neurotic, bad reviews are from smooth brains who assumed they were purchasing the game in its 1.0 state. This should honestly be the poster child for Early Access titles. Very played but also riddled with its issues.

Literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Same as the originals but somehow runs worse. Multiplayer latency is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Gaming in 2024 is dead. I refunded. Save your money.

"We're adding US servers on Steam launch."

First match I drop in, I have 180 ping. FFS why are game devs so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incompetent nowadays?

The whole "the modders make this game" thing is really cool. But, if you're going to release a game, there at least has to be... a game. "OMG YOU ONLY HAVE 0.4 HOURS". Yeah, because there's nothing to do here. The game modes are bland. The sound is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. Hit registration is horrible. It's more than just unfinished. You HAVE to have a GAME here to keep people interested. No one is going to stick around to mod this or let alone PLAY it unless there's a GAME to play. I want this project to be successful, but you can't expect people to play this literal dumpster fire while they wait around for modders to fix the ♥♥♥♥ you don't want to fix yourself. The play count will dramatically drop before anything fun can be implemented into the game.

Also, don't give me the "it's early access" garbage. "Early Access" is a pathetic excuse thrown around nowadays to release unfinished games and take credibility away from ♥♥♥♥♥♥ development.

The game is great when it works. Unfortunately the servers have been a massive pile of ♥♥♥♥ and getting into a game is a literal game of luck in itself. I'm afraid the playerbase won't stick around to see what great of a game this can be. Should have learned your lesson in 2018.
I'll edit my review if the game ever starts working again.

Had multiple playthroughs on Xbox 360. I have one on PC. Now, I'm dipping my feet into the overhaul mod The Frontier, but that's a different review. This game is great. If you haven't played it, you're doing yourself a disservice.

Writing this review is going to bring me to tears. Thinking back at my childhood, the innocence, the ignorance to what is to come. Back in 2006, this game was the pinnacle of online gaming for me and a lot of others. There will never be another experience like the original Runescape experience.

The game we have on Steam now is what the community likes to call Runescape 3. Considering it's the third overhaul of the game. It looks different, plays different, and just feels different. You can always go play Oldschool Runescape if you're interested in what it was like way back in the day. I do feel as if Runescape 3 is the way to go if you're just now delving into the Runescape world. It's a unique MMORPG with no set pathway, no set skill line, and no classes. You do your own thing and create your own adventure. There are meta ways to do things if you choose to power level an account, but the choice is always yours to explore the incredibly unique world.

Long live the good ole days. ♥♥♥♥ growing up into this cruel, unforgiving world. I'll forever reminisce on nostalgia I'll never live to experience again.

I'm not going to waste your time with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, long, drawn out review. You, the reader, don't deserve that. You deserve to be playing this game. I, like many others, came from Runescape and WoW. This game has filled the MMO void that I needed. I can't say much other than ESO has delivered, and it deserves to be on top. It deserves more players, and it deserves your attention.

This game won't make you feel like a soldier. It won't make you feel as if you're entrenched within an actual battlefield thousands of miles away from home while your lady is back home being pounded by your best friend and your neighbor's son and his friends and his dog. You don't walk away from this game with visions of brothers in arms lying in terror while screaming for their mothers and slowly bleeding out into their eternal sleep while you hold them telling them everything will be okay while they attempt to say, "I'm bleeding from my throat, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥". You won't walk away from your computer screen with physical disabilities you can only acquire from birth or years of service in the military. You also won't walk away from this game with the proficiency to masturbate in a 120 degree porto potty. This game will, however, make you utilize tactics used by real militaries. It will make you use your gut and will to live to survive and win each battle. It will show you how a good leader can lead you into victory, but it can also show you how are terrible leader can lead you into your demise.

All in all, the game is good. I just wrote the first part of the review to give you a terrible mental image. Buy Squad. It's fun and there's no DLC.
