While the pacing for this game can seem slow at times especially once there's more urgency to do things, I felt like this was a beautiful piece of art. A story that truly evokes emotion especially after investing what time we put into it. I loved the relationships between Talma and her family and those she knows. I really got invested in their whole stories and feelings.

So happy I picked the game up and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good story to play in a day. This game is definitely going to stick with me. Beautiful and heartbreaking.

Your son is taken by some bloody dude after your plane crashes, you figure you should make friends with the survivors of the crash (Multiplayer!!) to help you find your son.

Eventually a week goes by and you forget who your son is and have taken up residency on the island.

You now are just a group of dads, colonizing on an island full of giant multi-limbed mutants and people that want to eat you. You'll find a drawing or two that your son did, maybe a toy, but at that point it's meaningless, your son is just a reminder of your past life now.

You own an island. You have 6 boats, a lot of food, plenty of shark heads to decorate your menacing fortresses that you've inevitably built, and you have friends to help you collect body parts from cannibals to make beautiful statues that will accentuate your homes wonderfully! What's not to love?

Real-talk, this game has a lot of potential even at this point, and the devs are constantly adding new and exciting things to make the game more enjoyable! The atmosphere is tense, you'll see things that aren't there, hear sounds that could lead to your eventual death, but isn't that what we're here for?? The THRILL? Especially when you can have up to 8 friends in a private server helping you stay alive! (Or cowering in fear while group huddled in a corner waiting the night out. Take your pick.)

You can play through to the end-game stuff, or you can say SCREW TIMMY and build a Ski Lodge and sled through a bunch of cannibals to get to a big base you've made at the bottom of the mountain, which is connected to EVERY OTHER base you've made! The possibilities seem almost endless, despite being restricted to a lil island, but in my opinion? This game is easily a top favourite, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something to give you a good spook while also fulfilling your BUILD EVERYTHING survival/crafting needs! It's addicting and I can't wait for more!
