It's a solid "meh" as far as I'm concerned.
Playing with a controller as recommended by the game.
Overall it's very cute + had some (at face value) interesting concepts, but the implementation of it just doesn't feel up to par.

The magic customization is cool, but not particularly intuitive on how each modifier will interact with each spell.
Linking <movement> -> Fire -> <right> will have a different effect than say <right> -> <movement> -> Fire.
One fires a round arc, the other fires a firebolt to your immediate right.
The <right> modifies different things, so it interacts differently. Okay, I get that.
But then you toss in other modifiers like Overcharge, Mastery, and whatever and they either don't care what they're linked with, or don't function in a way that you've just established they would function?
Overcharge says if you hold the spell you get more damage. Well, no, you don't. It does the same damage regardless. But it changes the basic form (and makes it worse, frankly).
The basic lightning attack is a quick swipe in an arc in front of you.
It's quick, low-mana, and lets you hit-stun enemies.
Overcharge roots you in place, shifts the contact point forwards, delays contact, and delays animation.
This leads to you doing less damage, taking more damage, and getting perma stunned far more frequently. But hey the graphic is bigger.

There's tons of slots so I expect tons of interactions but it feels very much trial & error at this point.
I wouldn't mind this T&E so much if the combat itself wasn't so iffy.
It feels more like you're fighting against the limitations of the mechanics than you are experimenting or making something cool with your spells.
Another review criticized the linear feel of the maps, which I'd read prior to buying but decided to try it anyways.
The maps are quite twisty at times, and fun to explore but the explorable area (gated often by content blocks you've yet to unlock) are basically thin corridors which limit the use of directional & custom spells as they'll often just fizzle upon contact with fence, cliff, or other boundary.

There's hitstun + animation lock for both you & the enemies.
There's no recovery period after being hitstunned.
This leads to you often getting perma stunned or stuck in hit recovery loops, which leads to a lot of
>fire 1 spell, then backpedal
basic kiting, which is hardly a fun implementation of all this spell customization.
I'm stuck at the Ice Lizard boss right now, purely because there's no telegraph for 2 of its hardest hitting attacks, which seem to randomly target the board in wide range aoe.
Pure RNG whether or not you'll live thru boss mechanics annoys me to no end.
Made worse by the annoying hitstun implementation, as you're often taking dmg from follow-up attacks as you're stuck in hit recovery animation. Nvm the infinite-spawning adds that will group up and poke you to death if you get caught by anything. Basically more layered rng whether you'll survive taking a 5% dmg hit or if you'll go 100-0 because hurr durr you're chain stunned now, get fk'd.

To further compound this, there's a delay on dodge/block... so you often take dmg despite anticipating the attacks just because your shield didn't activate in time, or you dodge and you don't actually move or take dmg while moving.

Music's okay. Mini puzzles are okay, if a bit obvious on what the expected solution is.
The first Tree boss was well done.

Not sure what the currency's for yet, you seem to be flooded with the green ones, so the only thing I've been able to buy cost ~90 and i have 800. Teleports cost 10? 16? something like that. Purple orbs seem to translate into (max?) hp/mp upgrades.
I'm only 3 hours in at this point, so take that with a grain of salt.. but this early it just feels kinda blah when you find a chest and it has oh boy 30 green little nuggets in it cuz it's not like you can't get that many from just breaking some barrels, and there's nothing to buy with them yet anyways.

The music's okay, the story/scenario's okay so far, and the graphics are cute enough. Like it's visually pleasing & would otherwise be enjoyable, just the actual combat and meat of the game makes it feel hollow.

The only thing going for it is how cute it is.
Controls are complete & utter ass, coupled with the UI lag makes it near impossible to have any measure of precision, even with the archaic arrow key setup. Combat is 100% button mashing skill spam. It's basically a 3d clicker.
I could ignore most of the other issues with this game if the controls weren't so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad.
Even when you go to throw out old equipment, it autoruns you to the spot behind the "discard" button.
I can't even be arsed to write a decent review, this game just sucks monkey nuts.

can't even begin to describe how completely ♥♥♥♥♥ awful this game is.
devs must either be legit mentally disabled or 100% ignorant chucklefks to even begin to think this is a playable product.

It's not worth the time giving a compelling argument to avoid this, just AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Controls are ass.
Doesn't seem like very much thought put into the controls / options / QA in general.
Like the cancel button is also the menu button, RCLICK is the same as E, default sensitivity is nauseating.
The only option in the "control" menu is mouse sensitivity.
Your character doesn't turn when you turn camera, it turns the camera and then you have to walk forwards in the direction it faces, it's disjointed & awkward.

Lots of typos, stilted dialogue, interactible objects that aren't actually interactible.
Hand held every step of the way in terms of dialogue prompts - game is linear, no exploration.
Suspension of disbelief even for sci-fi. Gotta collect some mysterious green glowing gears that just so happen to conveniently come from a broken cd player, a vase, medical grade equipment, and random boxes and be standardized size/shape.

The timed pipe puzzle is stupid af.

The interact + menu buttons bug out after the crane puzzle, requiring a restart.

Really the only thing it's got going for it is that it hasn't crashed yet, even if it's crazy unoptimized.

Overall poor quality. Kinda suspect people who rated this positively were compensated for it, or have stockholme syndrome.

Definitely one of the better Hidden Object games on Steam.

Pros:

+ The artwork is lush, gorgeous, really well put together. It feels like I'm playing in a picture book.
+ The achievements are fair and achievable without much feeling of being utterly, unfairly lost.
+ The hidden object scenes aren't the usual "here's a list of 10-15 objects that may or may not match their names", but instead shapes to match against objects, that are then utilized to unlock further items within the scene. It's been done before in other games, but more of a minigame there, rather than as the main HO mechanic as it is in this game. I found it refreshing.
+ 2 sets of 35 bonus items (so 1 of each per scene) to find. I liked that, unlike some Artifex games which use a 4x9 split concurrently with 1/20, you always had a clear expectation of items to find per area and didn't spend a lot of time second guessing whether or not something was there.
+ You don't throw away your tools. Like ffs, in so many other games you're like "okay, I just survived a plane crash, have no food, but I found this sweetass knife, I'm gonna use it once and then throw it away". The knife and the hammer you find early on you keep for most of the game.
+ Protag that I didn't immediately dislike. Personal preference I guess.

Neutral:
= The "summoned to another world" isekai concept is a little overdone but whatever, it's just to get you going.
= The voice acting isn't great, like, super great but it's better than a lot of these that I've played. They all seem to have some aspect of like "B-movie" voice-acting.
= Fair amount of back tracking. I was never super frustrated with it, and I liked that all the objects weren't immediately / magically useful to the area they were discovered in, but it becomes a wee bit tedious near the end of the game when you have so many areas unlocked.

Cons:
- Obnoxious advertising plastered all over the title screen & when you resume a game.

Pleasantly surprised for an IndieGala-featured game.

The translation is rough at parts, and the game could do to make some separation between internal thoughts, descriptions, and what the MC is actually saying out loud but all in all the story was interesting enough.

The not-so-hidden object game it randomly tosses at you at the start feels out of place and over-explained, but is easily passed or skipped. That's the only instance of that particular mini-game, and feels like the dev just added it in because they could.

The ero scenes are pretty mild even "unlocked" (gallery > Tab > iddqd) and weren't particularly erotic or worth buying this game for as it's sole selling point.

But the music is great, and they do successfully create a futuristic atmosphere even if the dialogue and story points feel stilted at times.

Overall it's a little rough around the edges but on sale/in a bundle it meets the $1/hr standard, and I'm happy I decided to install it on a whim.

Y'know I read the other fellow's review and thought, how bad can it be?
They were spot on.

The game is vaguely, at best, as represented by the screenshots & videos.
http://puu.sh/xFc6i/50d6e0eb51.jpg

Pros
+ The music is relaxing. I quite like it.
+ Hunting for secrets has become a little fun, although I wish there was still a bit more direction.

Cons
EVERYTHING ELSE.

- Text is just there, no effort put to making it aesthetically pleasing.
- Frequent spelling / grammatical errors
- Presentation of the story, plot objects, etc are all obvious placeholders & utterly barebone.
I'm not sure how much of this you can write off because Early Access, but I feel like the game is in a state where it's only technically a game, and by no means should it have a price tag attached until a few tonnes of polish are added to it.

- Controls floaty af. There's a weird momentum attached to any movement you do. Even tapping forwards/sideways to align with a doorway makes you skid around like you're greased up with liquid ballbearing.
- Despite what the guide says, there's no difference in aiming at your feet / aiming in the distance to alter jump distance.
- You jump with ridiculous momentum, it's faster to bunnyhop around than run.

- God forbid you right-click while inside the house.
- Quests make no sense whatsoever. Incomprehensible, purposefully obscure directions.
"Go find your father's toolbox in the garage. Oltar. OltarFirst."
- Some quests are straight up broken & it's not apparent until you reload the save and they magically work.
- Frequently found myself with 0 idea of what the game wanted me to do. Trial & error until something clicked.

- Camera sensitivity slider is nigh worthless - minimum feels like maximum, maximum (default) is unplayable. At absolute minimum you can't actually TURN THE BLOODY CAMERA LEFT OR RIGHT.
- Random freezes; no autosave.

- The platforming mechanic (rclick) spawns platforms based on the green gauge in the lower right corner.
The platforms disappear relatively quickly, which would be okay if not for the fact that this gauge recharges over time, not based on how many active platforms you have. Because of this you'll often just be sitting there diddling yourself while you wait for it to recharge. Which is basically all the time because there's no sane way to AIM your platforms. They spawn at your cursor, which has no depth/height control. So if you want to make a staircase or something, you better hope you can land those diagonal jumps to half the map away, and that they're not also just embedded in the ground / random objects. This is further compounded by your ridiculous momentum whilst jumping, and straight up sliding off platforms.

Apparently this was changed from infinite because of abuse, but as it is now, you can just use jump tiles to the same effect, making the rclick mechanic completely unnecessary.

- Horribly unoptimized, though it does warn you of this.
- The design decision to add a hemorrhaging pink particle volcano effect to an already unoptimized game.

- Despite being able to leap like you've a jetpack in 0grav, you still can't jump more than ankle height vertically. Or swim. Or wade in a puddle. You get teleported rather rudely back to your room. This might be a feature as the kid's supposedly afraid of water, but it sure isn't a fun one. The jump limitation is weird when, in contrast, jump tiles rocket you to the upper atmosphere without a second thought.

- You can interact with any object from any distance, providing your cursor lines up just right. Took me a while to figure out there weren't invisible quest objects littered around the backyard, and I was just opening/closing cupboards from 300m away.

- Apparently I just beat the game by finding a random object in a corner of the backyard while running around aimlessly because my quest was bugged.

This object disappears after you get the particle volcano & the barebones final story "twist", so I'm not sure how you're supposed to unlock the other 2 dialogue options or progress after you get the message, as the quest & trigger both disappear.

Main "story" line is only about an hour, the rest of my time was spent screwing around trying to go out of bounds / figuring out achievements.

It's not really a puzzle if there's no logical path to obtaining a solution.
I've played about 20 levels so far and only 2? 3? were hinted at, and then rather obviously.
For the majority you'll be stuck wondering what new, interesting substance the devs were smoking and tried to portray in 3D form for you to rotate around aimlessly until it just magically lines up.

Also the stupid promo codes they use to give you free hints, you know, instead of actually building them into the bloody thing in a logical, coherent manner befitting a PUZZLE game, don't even work.

I didn't mind the music, it's relaxing enough I literally fell asleep while "playing" this. The voiceover's kind of cheesy, and the story is obvious chaff that tries to give meaning to the mindless twirling you do but fails to be anything resembling a compelling tale.

Theme park mmo, lots to do, terribly grindy but -mostly- in optional places.
+most in-depth fishing system I've seen
- THE FISH GOT AWAY

+most in-depth crafting system I've seen, control outcome of hq rather than lottery procs (eg, Aion)
- no "craft from stash"

+ Run around as a cute little ball of potato pudding
+ Glamour/reskin almost anything
+ The story is supposedly okay, if a bit "anime"
+ Tons of lorestuff
+ Multiple ways to level up

- XIV uses unpadded "true" rng
streaks of bad luck which should be mathematical improbabilities commonly occur.
Like failing a 29% meld 119 times in a row. Thanks, yoshi-p.
- Despite flying mounts in HW+ areas, the topography is linear & dull. It still feels like a flat map only now you can go up.
- Little permanence to "shiny" items. Current BiS resets every 6mo with the raid tier.
- Button / skill bloat (being addressed in the next xpac supposedly)
- Relic (sort of a catch-up / alternative to raid) weapon is uninspired tomestone grind designed to funnel players through old content to keep it alive, rather than be inherently fun.
- SE does little to discourage win-trading in Gold Saucer tournaments, but occasionally cracks down on PvP tournies

It's a terrible timesink.
Might not be your thing if you prefer fast-paced combat. Global cooldown starts at 2.5s (can be decreased slightly).
But as a crafter, it's a great game.

It's.. okay. It's not really enjoyable fighting the controls and I'm sure I'd enjoy it more if it didn't feel like I was.

You maintain vertical height by jumping, but it's like that helicopter game / flappy bird where you mash X to maintain height. I wouldn't mind that so much if it didn't lock your firing direction based on where you were facing the last time you pressed X. There's a lot of dodging and so a lot of the time you're going to be trying to dodge ♥♥♥♥ but locked into shooting the wrong direction. Analog stick feels really sensitive for a shooter of this nature. There's a weird momentum maintained when you jump and so I often find myself getting propelled sideways into mobs when I'm trying to shoot them.

Thematically it's cool enough, I just didn't find it very much fun to play.
I wish Steam had a 50/50 rating because it's not absolute trash like some of the other shmups on Steam are.
