comfy, super cute
tho kinda aimless, kinda lifeless
like building a diorama when u were little
hard to engage adult brain back into just building things for the fun of it :[
wish the palette tool had alternates or hotkeyable stuff, or ways to macro parts together
I find I'm constantly shuffling thru the thing tryna find the piece I want but never quite getting the hang of it.
a bit frustrating w/ placing things like FFXIV's housing
(played a lot of it via family sharing, but it didn't count the time)

Early Access Review
super cute but feels clunky cuz controls can't be rebound, can only swap Y and A fsr.
can't even fly??? can only glide, like lose altitude and gain a little when you jump.
...unless you're in water which makes getting back onto the boat annoying as hell since you have to scoot your wet ass back to land, find a cliff, and then glide back to the boat. like they've marked it as EA to avoid criticism despite being a 90% complete game = unlikely to see any of this changed. idk it just feels like so many little things immediately rubbing me the wrong way that I cant be bothered.

The map exploration mechanic is neat, I guess.. but it's not particularly well delivered.
The first customer I got was asking me for a potion I didn't have, so I went off exploring to find that potion, didn't find it, but made a slew of other potions in the process and ran out of mats. Ended up having to turn her down. But then the next 3-4 customers also wanted potions I didn't have, despite having 8 unique potions at that point, and it's just like, why is this even designed like this?

If you're going to separate the wants from the haves, at least let us try to peddle potions as different types. Slap a Zzz label on a swiftness pot and pass it off as a sleeping pot. The ♥♥♥♥ do these peasants know, how would they tell the difference until after they drank it.

Idk maybe I'll keep going, maybe I won't. 1hr in and it feels like I've bricked my save already.

50:50 leaning positive
it's fun enough, but utter copout story
lets just throw a bunch of vaguely related themes, sequences, and narrative together and let the users flail around in the gaps
hurr it's up for interpretation durrr = lazy writing, can't figure out a way to tie everything together so you just don't
alternate endings dont clarify anything
godawful inventory space + backtracking + turning off the map in certain areas is sheer dev sadism
there is nothing about "inventory management" that makes for a better game.
I didn't even shoot things that frequently
I like that you can just run past enemies, and even with keeping minimal guns/ammo in my invent i still had to hump the storage bin like I was a dog w/ a boomerang up its ass.
puzzles were fine
also overindulgence in german + moon runes for mystique is stupid

I played Snezhinka before this one, and it's really neat to see how this game evolved into the 2nd one.
Same base concept but Snezhinka has lots of QoL features this one lacks, so if you were going to only try one I would try the 2nd game first, but that's not to say this one's bad, just a bit rough around the edges. I've thoroughly enjoyed both of them.

The 2nd has controller support, this one doesn't. It would be nice if the dev could patch it into Marfusha too but it's nbd for me personally.

Had promise, but:
- frequently got stuck: plenty of aimless wandering + backtracking despite having the required items
- little player agency: there's obviously some questions/dialogue that's unproductive to ask certain villagers, but it's annoying that it's more efficient to ask them regardless, so you can more easily narrow down what you're missing. Didn't seem to be any negative consequence for tipping your hand too far.
- plot "twists" you couldn't miss a mile away, whilst the overall story was relatively short, lacking any semblance of depth
- (missable) achieves requiring minimum 2 playthroughs, despite linear storyline
- text / audio glitches where it'd speed up the text & disappear all audio until it came to a choice fork
- absolute dog ending

If you're going to give the player so many quirky achievements why not just tie a couple to alternate endings, so that the multiple "required" playthroughs actually fulfill a purpose besides making achievement # go up.
Really annoyed you can't just leave town. It was completely obvious how this was going to end up by the end of the first day, and I'm pissed that it just bludgeons you over the head with it rather than having any sort of nuanced development. Experienced archaelogist and she just goes full rarted so many times. Even the epilogue sequence makes little sense and is propped up by plot armor.

The voice acting was good. I liked the flashback sequences, and how they were included, and the puzzles in the final chapter were fun. The village felt well enough "alive" with the various characters and subquests. But the half-assed plot and other issues detracted from this.

Charming little indie game. Ending's pretty abrupt but good to kill a few hours with.
