Absolutely Incredible!

Yes, the story might feel familiar after being retold across countless Dragon Ball games, but the 'What If' scenarios here are a game-changer. They keep the experience feeling fresh and exciting as you explore all the possible outcomes.

At first, the gameplay can feel tough, even if you're coming from the BT series. But once you master the combos and counters (I strongly recommend doing all the training available first!), it really clicks. The competitive potential is huge thanks to the depth of the counter mechanics, though, of course, there's a noticeable power gap between some characters. But honestly, that’s part of the charm of the Tenkaichi series. Despite this, it’s still incredibly enjoyable for non-hardcore or casual players, as the game strikes a great balance between depth and accessibility.

The custom battles feature is a massive win, offering endless What If scenarios created by the community. It adds so much replayability as you jump into unique, fan-made battles from around the world.

This game is a nostalgic love letter to those who grew up playing Budokai Tenkaichi 3 with friends, and it perfectly recaptures that magic. The graphics and animations? Absolutely top-tier. It feels like you’re stepping right into the anime itself. Whether you’re a casual player or a hardcore Dragon Ball fan, this is a must-have game.
