TL;DR Game is interesting just way to short. 3/5
Founder Sean Vanaman is a c*nt and I cannot recommend financially supporting anyone who is such a massive prick.

The game itself is interesting, though short and ends abruptly.
I have a different reason for not reccomending this game; one of the founders, Sean Vanaman, has decided that its now okay to selectively use copy right take downs on anyone he simply does not like. It's ok for people to use Campo Santo games in lets plays and streams (per their website) except when that person said something you take personal offence too. Pewdiepie said something terrible and people are understandable upset, but to rally the dev community against him to try and gut him from YouTube? Really? Do you really not have anything better to do Sean Vanaman?
Don't buy this game, founder is a massive ♥♥♥♥ who thinks its ok to push people around just because they don't agree with his regressive views that ironically help keep racism alive by giving a certain word, and you know which word I'm talking about, power.

After finishing MFP I started on TDD a few months later. I feel prompted to write this after seeing lots of negative reviews for this game. MFP was a great game but was over shadowed a bit by TDD. MFP was more liniar and relied more on atmosphere to deliver scares than TDD which was more brutal and disturbing. There is no insanity or inventory to manage in MFP which makes the game much more focused on the story and atmosphere. I don't understand the rampant hatred for MFP. It was a good game. Not quite as good as TDD but absolutely worth playing. I think fans of TDD came into MFP expecting something more like TDD and were dissapointed when it didn't deliver the same kind of scares. For those of you who did just shut up and play the damn game. Don't compare it to TDD. I would recommend MFP but remember that its going to be a little different so take the game at face value and don't try to compare it to TDD.
