This game is amazing, i wish it was longer and there were more like it.

The level design, movement and characters are all perfect.
The ps1 visuals are consistent besides the barriers which look a bit like modern missing textures.
The menu doesn't support rebinding, or 4k properly, but I'd still recommend this for everyone.

DREDGE succeeds at everything it tries to do and from what I can tell there's nothing else quite like it - maybe sunless sea is closest. The visuals and story begin great and improve throughout. The gameplay is unusually good for a game that features fishing, and even that is sufficiently fast paced and non repetitive.
The game is a good length at 12-25 hours. A couple of the side quests are a little random in their solution, and the threats which play a significant role initially don't scale enough with the ability of the player and their gear, but overall its really good.
I'd like to see other games, DLC or content updates.

The game is a lot of fun. It is terrifying at times and extremely rewarding overall. It looks great and runs well, along with near-instant matchmaking. From my experience the launch bugs have only been minor things, and a lot of them are already fixed. Although 1v2s and 1v3s are difficult, the game is balanced in a number of ways to give solo players a reasonable chance.
