Wanted to wait until I finished the main story before posting a review as this is my first FromSoftware "souls-like" game.

First off, the character design, voice acting, and story lines are utterly unmatched and unrivaled by any other game in my recent memory. I found myself with goosebumps crashing up my spine countless times throughout the story.

Secondly, the level design, sound design, and overall ambiance is beautifully executed. Every zone I entered had its own unique theme, but the transition to and from each was seamlessly intertwined. Without spoiling, the final fight of the game is probably my favorite.

I will note that there are some characters whose translations into English could have been handled with more care; specifically with the Moon Mommy's last bit of dialogue, but overall not a big issue - just confusing at times.

All in all, I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a game built around a robust, tactile, and responsive combat system while enjoying a rather rich story in a fantastical sprawling landscape.
