I like how the new scopes look but the gunplay is not enjoyable and the time to acquire target it's way way too high.
I have shot guns in real life and it didn't take me this long to have a good sight picture (and I'm a novice).
I feel like it went too much towards the realism side at the expense of fun gunplay. I really don't feel like it rewards teamwork or experienced shooter players more than before 6.0, it's most definitely worse.

Edit 2:
Another update another reset to all of my settings. I don't like it guys. Can't you just fix it?

Do you have to reset all of my in game settings every time you update the game?!
My sensitivity, keybindings and graphic settings are reset to default now. And this happens on every update you are dropping. It's very very annoying and it makes me want to stop playing because I've got some complex settings and it takes me a long time to set them back up.

It's super awesome! It rewards smart plays and knowing the game mechanics.
After multiple wins I can say with confidence that I had more fun in this game compared to most other fast paced games of it's kind out there.

It is P2W.
But a good MMORPG.
This game is a living paradox.

I don't recommend it tho, because anyone who does swipe will get ahead of you in no time. It makes it feel like the time you've dedicated to the game is worth less because of the P2W mechanics of the game.

It doesn't feel like the devs respect your time.

Truly the game of the year!
Really great game made by great developers!
It has a soul, it has personality and it's so diverse. Really fun! I didn't feel so awesome in a while.

I started playing Scavengers since closed beta because I'm really invested in this game and I wish this game to succeed. Also that's why I took my time with all this feedback on a F2P game.

The game is very very unbalanced. Characters, looting, progression.
I feel like it is a mobile game on PC where you have time gates, the materials that stop you from unlocking upgrades and P2W systems that are just waiting to be enabled.
I don't like the looting system.
I don't like the fact that you have to wait so so much to unlock/craft meaningful stuff. People want to drop into the game play for a bit than leave. The current system asks you to drop insurmountable amounts of time in order to *feel rewarded* and you will not have fun until you get there, than you unlock whatever weapon or passive you really wanted and then have to start all over again grinding and waiting crafting time for nothing hoping you'll get the next dopamine rush in a few days of play. We have personal lifes and jobs. The current crafting and resource system needs a lot of work and dedication. I feel like the devs don't get it yet.
More experienced players will destroy new players, firstly because they are way way further in the progression system and secondly because they have more experience in the game. This stuff doesn't happen in Hunt Showdown, Apex Legends, COD so on.
One of the reasons why this game won't grow and get more players it's because of it's unintuitive and unbalanced crafting and character upgrade systems.

The game forces you to do the same thing over and over again. The way you leave the planet has to be the same every time, by rushing the stupid dropship.

The guns, abilities and passives need relevant stats information. Rarity and color coding it's definitely not enough for the items.

The melee system also needs a lot of improvement. The stamina management for melee fighters it's almost impossible especially for new players and playing melee it's not rewarding enough. Also melee needs way better hit registration (might be netcode related).

I can see how they'll introduce some P2W elements in the future when the premium currency will be purchasable with real money. I mean, the systems for a P2W game are there but you can't purchase premium currency yet.

I will not even bring up the performance issues since these I think are less important at this stage of the game compared to the other stuff that has to be taken care of.

Mouse sensitivity needs a bigger range and higher granularity to enable players to get the exact sensitivity that they want. I play with 800DPI and I want to have a 30cm mouse on mousepad movement that translates to 360° in game which with this DPI setting I can't get in Scavengers. The closest I can get to is 28.575cm which will be 360° in game. More precisely I got a discrepancy in my game sensitivity of -4.75% (-1.425 centimeters) compared to my usual sensitivity in other games. So technically because of how mouse sensitivity works in this game (not granular enough/limited) my muscle memory aim will be off by 1.4cm on mousepad or 17.1° in game (4.75%).

I liked the fact that the game feels polished enough in terms of stability and lack of game breaking bugs. I didn't experience any issues except for the frequent stutters which I think it's because of the poor implementation of the netcode and/or servers. I've seen grenades falling under the map but that's not a big deal.

Edit1: Most if not all of my points (in the review) were acknowledged by the devs and they publicly stated that they'll change or work on those.

Edit2: I'm coming back to this review one last time just to point out that most of my predictions were correct. The game is shutting down.

One of the best indies I've ever played.
Super awesome progression and gameplay mechanics and an even more awesome story.
It would be worth playing only for the conclusion at the end not to mention the other good stuff.
Finished it with my buddy. Loved every second of it!

For me this is top 3 best purchases in 2020.
I have tons of fun with my buddy. The game feels very fresh. The art style itemization and upgrade paths show that there are very well inspired people behind them. This game is complex, easy to get into, and hard to master. It's super super awesome after a day of work!

PS: If you like Risk of Rain 2, you will love this game!
