This game has surprised me a few times already and I'm eager to keep playing and see what else there is to discover. Highly recommend.

A fun game that feels like it started out trying to copy Diablo 2. It has made so many changes since launch that it stands on its own. The game is very much about racing to the endgame but at a price of $0, it's absolutely worth taking the time to see if the gameplay is for you.

There are a bunch of mechanics you won't even encounter until you reach the endgame and the dozens of currencies can be overwhelming at first. Other items, like oils, and fragments, seem like they exists only to sell players on additional stash tabs, which isn't really a bad thing. GGG has to make money somewhere, and you can absolutely enjoy everything this game has to offer without spending a cent. The extra tabs are pure quality of life which is honestly a terrific approach to microtransactions.

The online trading process is both streamlined and frustrating. On the one hand, I like that I can search for EXACTLY the item I need, and if I find it listed, I can just copy and paste a pre-written trade request. On the other, I only get responses to 10-20% of those requests, which is annoying.

Overall, strong recommend despite some room for improvement. I've spent only $20 so far as of 185 hours of playtime and I'd gladly spend more. (buying a currency tab is a HUGE improvement)

An incredibly beautiful and fun game. Every phase of every boss is a joy to discover and the difficulty makes progress feel incredibly meaningful.
