Alright let me start by saying that I have NEVER been interested in Yakuza games let alone have played one before this and I gotta say...

THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE!

From the classic turn-based combat to the good hearted main character, Yakuza: Like a Dragon absolutely nails what it sets out to do which is engage you with its world and characters to give you an overall wonderful experience. So, let's go over the pros and cons of this game!

PROS:

-Engaging, well paced story
-A great main character that is fun and interesting as well as just being a dang good guy
-Great combat system that utilizes old turn-based RPG mechanics within the semi-realistic world of Yakuza
-Graphics are top notch
-Characters you meet are also fun and interesting as well as having great depth
-Music is FIRE
-Minigames are incredibly fun

CONS:

-Kinda expected an open-world similar to GTA but the game is separated into a bunch of smaller maps
-Some characters felt like the devs forgot to add facial expression (Yakuza Boss's son)
-While I love the combat of this game a lot, a lot of the enemies are fairly generic

Overall, I feel like this game is one of the most fun and engaging single player experiences that I've had the pleasure of going through and while I am only 4 hours in, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time and will update this review once I have played the game in its entirety. This game has also gotten me in the mood to look back on previous installments in the series and experience those as well!
