A lot of people give this game a bad rep because it's "Minecraft meets DayZ", a genre that's been attempted multiple times and has failed multiple times. (I think a more appropriate tagline is Roblox meets Rust pre-zombie removal, but that works too.) Here's what I have to say to that:

A. Who cares? It's a free game, nobody should be complaining this much over a game that's 100% free where the only thing that's purchasable is an extremely cheap one-time gold pass. (I'd say the gold pass is worth it just to support the awesome developer, but you're not missing out on much if you don't buy it.)

B. This game does "Minecraft meets DayZ" right, unlike a lot of other attempts I've seen. There's already quite a bit to do, but this game is early access and the game is updated about 5 times a week, which is way more than I've seen from many developers.

All in all, it's a great free game I recommend everyone on Steam get, and convince your friends to get it too because the multiplayer in this game is tons of fun. It's only a 50 MB download and it doesn't take much to run it, despite what the vague minimum specs tell you (I don't blame Nelson on that part, I imagine it's pretty hard to find the right minimum specs, especially on Unity).

I feel completely mislead. I bought this back when the name of the game was still "Guns of Icarus" thinking I was actually buying Online since there was no notice at the time that this is a completely different game from Guns of Icarus Online. Then, at the time, it still said it has multiplayer, when in reality the servers for multiplayer have been down for years.

By far the worst game I have ever bought. (Glad I only got it for $3.)

It's not very well optimized for a game with fairly simple graphics for today's time, especially with the fact that it only works on 64-bit systems. Definitely a lot better optimized than some other games, but it's got a ways to go in that regards.

It's also the buggiest game I have ever played, especially for a game that was in a semi-open beta for quite a while. The server list takes about 15 minutes to load before I can even move my mouse and actually join a server. When I do finally join a server, there's not really any tutorials on the various mechanics of the game, which would be fine if there weren't that many (and there really aren't that much), but supposedly there's things like weapon crafting, doing quests, and all sorts of stuff I couldn't seem to figure out. I approached a shop in a safezone and the nearly non-existant UI for the shops is insanely confusing, and it apparently started a quest with only a simple marker on the map, no marker in the actual game and no place in the UI to track quests at all (as far as I could see).

And then my game randomly crashed, and locked up my computer for a full 5 minutes before it finally let me end the process. I have never seen more bugs in a game where most of the bugs, especially the game-breaking bugs, should have been fixed by now with how long it was in beta/early access.

TL;DR: War-Z 2: Electric Boogaloo.

The game itself is great, but the port is so horrid I would say it even beats Watch_Dogs in terms of how horrible a port is. Took me an hour just to get the game to launch, 20 minutes to set up a Social Club account, and another hour to sort through the Games for Windows Live trainwreck.

I pray to GabeN that Rockstar will learn their lesson and do a much better job with the GTA V port.

There's nothing more satisfying than having to carefully set up each of your shots, make each one count, then pulling the trigger and watching your little metallic ball of death rush toward your target, then seeing it rip apart his insides.

The multiplayer in this game can be some of the most tactical multiplayer I've ever seen, especially when it's just two small sniper teams in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Haven't played a game this great in a while. Although some of the missions can be very difficult even at the medium difficulty, I still find the missions fun, and IMO this game gets the best of both worlds from the shooter genre and the RPG genre. The soundtrack is pretty good, too, and the story is even better.

That being said, I do feel like this game lacks in the shooter part just a bit. One of the first things I noticed in the gunfights was how unnatural ADS felt. I also think the switching from first person to third person when taking cover could be a lot more smooth. Still, these complaints are very minor.

This game is absolutely beautiful in every sense. The art style is fairly original and really well done, the gameplay is thrilling and the characters and plot feel authentic and well-done. Excellent game. Buy it.

I would say this game takes place as the worst F2P I have played. Moon Breakers may have been absolutely horrible, but at least it was a new idea and had decent graphics. This heaping pile of crap though... I could go on for weeks about how horrible and stupid this game is. 90% of the sound files are copied from CoD games, it uses too much from CoD games, and it basically feels like you're playing CoD4 if it were absolutely terrible. The amount of pay to win in this game is immense. The starting equipment you get only lasts for a week and the starting guns you get are extremely underpowered compared to what you could get if you bought a gun with IRL money.

This game also borrows a lot from War Inc: Battlezone, another horrible F2P. For example, the luring in of players by selling temporary guns at cheap prices and then taking them away, hoping players will buy it again. The entire idea of buying items that only last for a day or so bothers me so much anyways.

Easily worst F2P I have ever played. TL;DR: Basically CoD4 with horrible graphics and immense pay-to-win.

Oh, and Steam, just change the name of the recommending system to 'Review' instead. I don't recommend this game to anyone. Don't even waste your time and precious HDD space on this game. 1/10
