This game is absolutely stellar, while I am part of the... target audience (owo) i think this genuinely is a fun retro game a lotta peeps can enjoy.

This is a very good game. It has some of the finest gun play, most satisfying crunches and splatters and a really remarkable level of accessibility for both people who just want to sit back and chill as well as people who enjoy 100%ing everything on the highest levels. Its a very fine doom title. I just cannot get over how many meters this game has to keep track of personally. the recharging grenades (both types), flamethrower, punch, so on so on, its just clutter on the hud that I find takes me out of the game more often than not. I enjoy having all the options, and I use all of them, but I could have done with half the options and had just as much fun. My other issue is the weapon sandbox. I think the game needs about half the weapons it has currently, more isn't exactly better. Especially when the game is leaning so hard into limiting your usage of the sandbox anyways. While you can kill things the way you want, you'll often times be heavily punished if you don't adhear to the weaknesses because you run out of ammo. This in itself is fine, giving players a punishment for not being careful in an encounter, its only troublesome when you get taken out of the action because your on a wild goose chase for an enemy to give you ammo. Marauder is boring an an enemy, cool the first time as a boss, but as an enemy it brings the game to a crawl.

tl;dr Buy this game, its really good. I can't personally recommend it, but I believe its enjoyable for most people. This is after playing the game at launch, beating it then and coming back now and trying it again.

It was fun prior to NGS, I came back after a bit of a break and the whole vibe change was just yucky. The game feels controls wise way worse than before. Graphically the game is really pretty but when its not engaging or fun to play that doesn't matter. The tutorial will easily drive away new players with how long and boring it is. The only they holding it at this point is the character customization. The microtransaction problem is arguably worse than it was pre-NGS aswell.

Fair warning as well, in my experience the community is nice but disgustingly parasocial, expect stalkers and no way to really deal with it.

I'm at a crossroads. I like really like how the game plays, and at the same time is has certain issues that really bog the experience down for me. A rather shaky launch aside, the game still has server issues, I myself have been unable to gain a single piece of experience or gold beyond the initial 2500. That really kinda sucks. Especially because I was really quite excited to try out some different armours and weapons, and see how they fair. Yet alas, if I can't unlock literally anything, the game kinda flatlines.

In all fairness, the game runs well. Aside for some really damning bugs such as a seizure inducing green flashing screen that can overlay sometimes on launch.

My proposal is the progression stay but only if they can say with certainty that issues will not persist. In a game like this, I'd be suffice to say progression really doesn't add too much to the experience. Sure It can be nice to track progress through unlocks, but maybe not lock gameplay behind a wall that may be unachieveable because some unexplicable error. I see this game as a Medieval sandbox, not a competative sword play simulation. Maybe make the systems inplay reflect that.

Of course, anyone is free to disagree. So please do.

As an MH veteran, this is a great step for the series. It introduces a boatload of new mechanics. For instance, an expanded upon version of the fourth gen mounting system, the slinger to traverse the land faster, and maps without load zones.

I'll be entirely honest, i've been lucky as far as critical errors are concern. I've only had one crash through the course of low rank to high rank. My PC is mid to high teir and hasn't had any troubles running the game itself. FPS drops if at all are very infrequent and only happen in moments of high particle intensity.

It is worth noting if your playing this game for a story, you probably should just not. Its got one, but really its just a vessel to show you a few monsters and get you into the meat of the game, like the real meat, the well-done meat. None of that rare ♥♥♥♥.

Is this a fantastic port? No, however, it's a damn good monster hunter game, and a spectical to play. Beautiful maps, engaging combat, and more grinding than you could ever ask for. Basically heaven.

A fantastic game, not as difficult as past Souls titles, but still a great time. If your new to the games, this is a fantastic point to jump in at.

This game is great, I've only players a pathetic 27 hours at the time of review, however, I can say as of current it is a great buy. The combat is as to be expected from a Bethesda Fallout title and the new perk system is...well, actually not awful. I found vats in this game unnessisary due to how smooth the gun play was made. The base building has honestly taken up most of my time playing so far, and I can't say I'm upset about that, its great. The affinity system is neat, you can find a romancable compainion for pretty much any character, good or bad.

In conclusion, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great, if you have some cash on you and want a good game, get this.
