Final Fantasy XIV is the game I have probably spent the most time with, as a single title. Allowing for all kinds of different play styles interactions and a community that, save for a few bad apples, is extremely welcoming and helpful! Not to mention the entire main story of A Realm Reborn and the first expansion Heavensward are completely free to play, with no restrictions on play time. You are however, unable to join a Free Company (Guild), send Tells (Whisper or private messages) and send or receive mail from other players. All of which is only available in the full version of the game.

I've hardly done everything the game has to offer, and I still find myself coming back each day to do the plethora of content the game provides. Having the base game alone, followed by 4 exceptional expansions, each adding a whole new story, multiple classes, new gear and areas to explore. Runs flawlessly on mid to high end PC's and laptops, as long as the settings are tweaked to fit, much like any other game.

The content itself is lent more towards cooperative play, not allowing for a whole lot of solo only content, but being an MMO that should be expected. The market system in game can be a bit of a pain, as many people fight for sales, or over charge for things that can be obtained rather easy otherwise. Because of that, it can be a bit of a trap for new players, to but something for hundreds of thousands of Gil, only for it to be available in a dungeon or an NPC sells it for VASTLY cheaper.

But, those problems do come and go as you learn more about the game, and put more time into it. If you're a fan of MMO's in general, or are looking for a good one to get into to start, you'd be lucky to find one more accessible and welcoming than XIV.

I love it. Absolutely fantastic game play, everything feels great, the music is phenomenal, art style is better than its been for a decade. However the enjoyment is bogged down by the progression system and store page. Only earning 50xp per game if no other challenges are completed is a spit in the face, followed by $25(CAD) transactions for an armour set, a colour and a few emblems is unacceptable. I't seems as though they are working to implement a more standard xp system, and we can only hope so, as that would bring this from a 6/10 to a 10/10 for me.
Good start 343 but a long way to go.

I've played destiny 2 since launch on Battle.net and it still remains a fantastic game upon its transition to steam. Sure i'ts gone through hell over the past few years, but for the last year (since forsaken's release) everything has been fantastic. Some things in the new update, Shadowkeep, could use a change. not being able to play the story missions easily, kinda sucks, but its their way of pushing you to do endgame activities, faster. Overall i would definitely pick up destiny 2's base game, and if you enjoy that, pick up forsaken and enjoy the best destiny expansion ever made.

TLDR: I'ts much better than launch, but i wouldn't pay full price yet, half price is worth it if you can get some friends together,

I bought this game before day 1. I was excited as we were given very high expectations and as most people know, almost none of it was in the game upon launch. but i played a few hours, had fun for what the game was and uninstalled it after a while. once i heard that this update was coming, i became sceptical as Hello Games had already lied to us about many things. But regardless, the day the Beyond update dropped, i decided to give it another try. And believe it or not, its really good.

The update itself has some great bits to it, the highlight being the multiplayer, easily. but ill give a brief list of the best they introduced:

-Multiplayer

-VR support

-Social hub

-New races

-New aliens

-New materials

-Better customisation settings

With that being said, the game does suffer form some bugs, and some are minor but i want to highlight the major ones.
So the biggest bug I've seen so far is while on a space station. For whatever reason there's a chance the station may just disappear from under you, along with all of the collision, Basically soft locking you, as even if you manager to get into your ship, you can't move.
There's many game crashes, I've thankfully only crashed a couple times, but my friends have multiple times.
And if someone crashes from your instance, they cant rejoin nor can you join them until the host restarts the game.

To conclude this, I'm really happy this game is finally getting some love, as it has had some of the most potential in being a great space exploration title out there. I'm very impressed Hello Games, you guys really got this one right. i may not trust you for anything you may say, but i do respect you a lot more now.

Almost 2 hours in and i can say i'm quite happy with my purchase. I've had my eye on the game for a few months now, and as it's finally out i was happy to hop in day 1.
Sadly the game is plagued with many bugs, not only i encountered, but others. My only gripes with the game are as follows:

-Doors break really easily when all i was trying to do was place a pan near it or clean a spill by it.
-Some of the cutting physics works a little strange.
-Poor optimization, as i had to lower my settings to lower than i would've expected. However that may be due to an older graphics card on my part.
-Plating a dish is a nightmare, i didn't expect realism or anything but, not being able to place foods on certain parts of a plate or garnish where you want is a little annoying.

As for what i like about it:

-Feels good to play and move, once i got the hang of how moving felt and how to move objects, it wasn't a problem for me at all.
-There's a wide variety of dishes to cook with many different ingredients allowing for some fun and interesting recipes to follow.
-The game looks really nice, even on the lower settings.
-i was quite a fan of the sandbox area, even though it encourages you to blow the area up, i had more fun playing around with all the dishes that i hadn't unlocked in the story.

And i'm only on the fence about one thing, and that's the aforementioned story mode. while it is a good way to get introduced to the space and all your tools, it is a little lacking in any kind of narrative. but to be honest, what kind of narrative could you give a cooking game like this.
Overall id recommend this game to anyone with a decent interest in cooking as its a fun way to relax and just make some food, or play around and blow stuff up.

Early Access Review
This is probably the best early access game I have ever played. With as few bugs as possible and those which are present, don't drag the game down in any way.
I played the first risk of rain years ago for a while on steam, and longer when the community patch released. Needless to say, once this one got announced I was ecstatic. To me this is the perfect rogue-like, with almost infinite replayability, containing countless items (and more to be added) 6 vastly different maps (again, more to be added) a ton of creatures and playable characters (a trend here, with more coming in time). As fer as early access goes for a game like this, i believe this is as good as it gets. Great game Hopoo Games.
