Early Access Review
Man, let me start by saying that I normally don't write reviews and this is not a PUBG bash review. I have over 580 hours in PUBG and am using it as a game to compare ROE to since there are many similarities. This game is incredibly fun. The devs are pushing out updates that reflect community feedback almost daily.

Everything just feels good in ROE. Looting is fast and efficient, does not seem like a chore like it does in PUBG. You spawn, loot a few buildings and 4/5 times you are geared to where you can fight comfortably. Find a better gun than the one you had? Just drag the desired weapon on to the old one and all your attachments automatically swap.

Game runs well for an early access title, I average 90-120 FPS in game with a i7-8086k and 1080, max settings at 1440p. No real complaints here.

Shooting mechanics are ALMOST as good as PUBG, and with minor tweaks, ROE could be better than the BR overlord. The leaning mechanic currently in ROE is very clunky and relies on cover-based prompts in order to utilize. In other words, you have to be against cover for the leaning mechanic to trigger, which is hardly ever useful. Adding keybinds such as Q & E for left/right lean would be a HUGE quality of life change. This is definitely my biggest complaint about the game.

Movement feels good, free look currently does not work in FPP as of this review. Not sure if this is intended to be a TPP-only feature or not, but I hope it is fixed or enabled in FPP soon. jumping on top of objects is sometimes buggy. Vaulting works well and is not limited to certain objects. You can vault on quite literally anything. The game is not a jumping/strafe-fest to see who dies first (looking at you, Islands of Nyne). Tactical movement is rewarded.

NO MICROTRANSACTIONS AS OF THIS REVIEW. FREE TO PLAY. What a concept! An early access game that has ZERO paid content with the exception of a $2.99 DLC if you wish to help support the game that rewards you with several in-game cosmetics. Thank you ROE devs for not being a cash grab from day one (also looking at you, Islands of Nyne).

Overall, this game is absolutely worth your time playing. Really easy to convice your friends to play as well, it's free!

Directional audio is absolute garbage. Locating anyone above/below or anywhere around you with audio is worthless. Gunplay mechanics poor at best. Gunfights are all about strafing back and forth and see who dies first.
