Pure arcade.
5 stages of increasing difficulty, a scoring system and quite a bit of equipment to unlock
Kill Knight is brutally hard even on the base difficulty and there are 2 above it.

+ Great combat gameplay. It's a skill game. You jungle with a lot of weapons, defensive abilities and powers.
+ Fantastic atmosphere.

- I hope you love red!

I was not expecting anything that good. SH 2 is an extraordinary video game experience. Pretty hard and taxing mentally but it left me blown away

+ S Tier story with very mature/hard themes
+ Insane and disturbing but in a good way
+ Looks pretty good
+ Except for Angela, the English voice acting is really good. Especially the main character.
+ Combat is pretty good especially melee. It's surprisingly technical and feels like a souls like sometimes but very engaging and hard.
+ Very good puzzles (on Hard difficulty). Unlike Resident Evil, this game doesn't assume that players have brain damage.
+ Despite some trolls' claims, SH2 Remake is DEI free.

- Some stutters from time to time but nothing immersion breaking or unplayable
- Hardly any unlockables like bonus costumes, weapons or gameplay modifiers. We've been spoiled by the latest resident evils but it shouldn't be that hard to add some content to increase the replay value.
- I did get a few crashes
- The different endings conditions are totally obscure and requires the use of a guide.

Despite a lot of issues, FF XVI is a pretty good game.

+ It has the best story in a main line Final Fantasy. Not a lot competition there but its story is genuinely interesting and with good characters and a lot of style
+ Actions scenes play like a very well directed Japanese anime
+ The ending is quite mature for a change. Spoiler alert: Don't expect a Disney happy ending.
+ The combat system is very fun and gets better and better as you progress through the game. It's a combo based system. You'll unlock a lot of super attacks and the strategy comes from how you'll chain them together for either stagger or damage. There are a lot of different powers meaning a lot of different possibilities
+ Games looks really good sometimes. It's a bit of a mix. It's jaw dropping at times and completely blend at others.
+ No DEI

- The game is way way too easy. At the same time, the end game will throw some optional challenges at you that are some of the hardest I have seen in any video games and that doesn't make a lot of sense after you've been on crusing mode for the entire game.
- The final fantasy difficulty you unlock as an NG+ option is as lazy as it get and does not even give you a harder challenge. it is just more of the same with spongier enemies.
- The game probably has the worst side quests I have ever seen and it has a lot of them. They are boring. The fedex quests cliche. They felt like fillers.

Very short boss rush game.

It has 2 things. Boss fights obviously (x6) and challenges (x6) that are either a run through an obstacle course or fighting rooms of enemies.

+ The combat system doesn't revolutionize anything but it does the job very well. It has some depth and its engaging.
+ Well Designed boss fight
+ A module system. They provide bonuses, some of the with an impact on gameplay and as the game progress you can install more of them.
+ Fast paced and controls are very responsive

- Aiming or to be precise, the auto aim is a bit broken and would need some work
- The story feels like a filler

Overall it's short but intense and a lot of fun

It reminded me a little of another great boss rush game: Eldest Souls

Overall it's pretty mediocre.

The combat part of the game is OK. It's not deep but it's not without fun and it's quite challenging on the highest difficulty.

Where the game turns into trash is with the followers and camp management. It's boring, tedious with a lot of repetitive tasks for no reasons. It's a pretty awful experience overall and it's not a small portion of the game. You'll spend a lot of time there.

I almost dropped AfterImage after 3-5 hours and I'm glad I didn't.
The game has its issues but overall it's a fantastic experience.

+ Gigantic interconnected map with tons of secrets. The game rewards exploration
+ Pretty environments. The makes exploration quite enjoyable.
+ It starts weak but the combat and bosses gets pretty good in the later game.
+ Good challenge in advanced in the later game. The real end boss is tough and rewarding
+ Lots of build possibilities

- Weak character design. It looks generic and uninspired
- Non sensical story. I lost the plot pretty fast.
- Cryptic quests to get the 10 endings. Good luck without a guide.
- There's a NG+ except not really. It just has the name. You just get 1 hour of extra story content for what it's worth.

Pretty good game overall but quite flawed.
It's mix of great things with other parts amateurish in design.

Wukong feels like a mix of action game franchise and the result is fun and rewarding. The character handles very much like Wo Long (the little bother of Nioh 2), the general presentation, the exploration and upgrades / gears takes from God of War and a few other things comes from Souls games.

+ Fun, dynamic combats
+ Lots of combat options with well designed magics and a very expensive build tree.
+ Good boss design. Not great but very enjoyable non-the-less
+ Good Challenge. Wukong doesn't pull his pushes and unlike fromsoft's game, there's no hidden easy modes.
+ Exploration is reawarded
+ Lots of content and hidden content
+ Looks good
+ Good Voice acting in Chinese. I didn't play the English one but the examples I've seen on Youtube were quite cringy.
+ Women are pretty!

- Later in the game, you'll get into pretty large opened areas. These areas lacking remarkable features + No maps (with a fog of exploration) + edges being delimitated by invisible walls (very bad design) makes exploration a shore.
- Some essential upgrades systems are hidden behind cryptic quests very easily missble. Overall, like Elden Rings, the way Quests works is pretty bad.
- Bugs. The game crashes from time to time.
- Lazy NG+. Like Fromsofware, it's just a blanket stats% increase for enemies and that's it. No rebalancing, nothing more sophisticated like the heat system in Hades. It's quite boring.

Took me around 60 hours to beat every single boss in the game.

A generous 8/10. Could be 7.

Great experience and "Another World" like games are fairly rare nowadays.
Very short with around 5 hours of game time but memorable.

+ Fantastic art direction. The nailed the atmosphere.
+ Nice puzzles
+ very low PC requirement

- There's a bit of pure trial and errors gameplay into but nothing like Another World was.

Surprisingly good.
It is very short by metroidvanias standards. 6-8 hours top.

+ The bosses are very fun and pretty well designed
+ Very good and well built combat system
+ Good enemy variety
+ Nice atmosphere

- It's way too easy even though the challenge gets a little bit better toward the end
- Very buggy including a few crashes

This game is bland. Something is missing.

The progression feels on rail, combats are insipid and this game doesn't respect my time with very long walk for no reasons.
