Dungeons of Dredmor is a game that tells the story of a scandinavian man (or woman!) whose life-destroying addiction to lutefisk causes him to hallucinate and causes his trip to the cellar to get some slivovitz to go horribly awry.

The hero in question, Døømgåi, is a talented swordsman, who has never let fear best him in a fight. He gets a selection of skills at the start of the game which let him delay his undoing for at least an hour or so, if you get lucky with traps.

The game features an insane amount of whacky items that are either highly humorous, or referential to games and pop culture, or both. Pair these items with your chosen skill trees and you will soon become an unstoppable force for good, until you die.

Gaslamp games is a great developer and is very in touch with the community which leads to this game having some great mods, most of them as crazy as the actual game already is.

If you like roguelikes, enjoy spending like 4 hours on a run only to lose it all, and if you're looking for a good time. Dungeons of Dredmor is a game you should check out.
