If you liked the first game, or are a fan of turn-based JRPGs in general, get this game when you can. It's worth every penny

Yeah it's pretty damn good (except 2 but even then it's not unplayable, just not that good)

If you already like action games like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, or Metal Gear Rising, then you should get this game because it will scratch that itch. If you're looking to get into those kinds of games, this game is one hell of a gateway drug for the genre. It's combat is a nearly perfect mix of accessibility and complexity, by being simple but still having plenty of possibility for style. Delay combos being visually cued for newcomers is another great addition, and I love that they're called rest combos to go with the focus on music. Speaking of music, this game's music is absolutely incredible, whether you're listening to the perfect choices of licensed songs, or the amazing Hi-Fi Rush original tracks, you can't go wrong with all the bangers. Also, the comic book art style is a much needed breath of fresh air with how long it's been since a big AAA game had an artstyle besides hyper realism. In particular, the crazy splash screens that show up during boss fights or big moments are a highlight.

My only real complaints with the game are that the platforming is pretty meh (to be expected though since it's not a platformer game), and that the Bloody Palace equivalent can feel repetitive on the first few batches of floors. That one is fine by me though since it's just a bonus mode anyways.

Can't believe that they dropped a strong GOTY contender in the first month of the year

(This part is kinda outdated but I still agree with it, just not how I wrote it)
The main redeeming factor of this demake is the new music and the fact it's translated. The enemy AI is horrible, and the devs apparently think that more enemy aggression and hyper armor to the point of it being nearly endless is difficulty. It's not. That's just unfair and unfun. Fun fact, lowering the difficulty to easy makes the bosses operate like actual Yakuza/LaD bosses, with real openings, moments where they aren't constantly attacking, and most of all, they will ACTUALLY GET KNOCKED TO THE FLOOR. WHY DID THEY THINK MAKING BOSSES IMMOVABLE WALLS WAS A FUN WAY TO "INCREASE DIFFICULTY."

Edit: I still think I had a good point but I would like to say it in a less aggressive way.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a solid game. It has a very good story as any game in this series does, the heat actions are even crazier than usual, and the music is great. So why did I give this game a negative review?

Because pretty much everything about this remake, the original did first, and in many cases better. Everything about this game is basically just a watered-down version of the original Ishin! from 2014. The combat especially feels much clunkier overall, and you feel borderline pathetic in boss fights. I wouldn't mind this too much if the game was $20 like the other two Kiwami games, but it has the full $60 price, which I think is inexcusable as it is (and seems to be staying, since the balance updates have not addressed any of the bs difficulty issues). At the very least, non-boss encounters are pretty fun, but considering just how many bosses there are in this game (a whole lot), it's sad that this is the case.

If you're a fan of this series, I think the game is worth getting on sale. It's a pretty alright experience, I just think it is absolutely not worth the full $60. The story is luckily the one thing that isn't watered-down from the original, though some people may dislike the recasts and that's understandable.

TL;DR If you have $60 to spend on a Yakuza/LaD game, get Lost Judgment lol

If people say Yakuza 0 is the best Yakuza game, then this is the greatest game ever conceptualized by humanity. It's got everything.

Gameplay: Easily the best in the entire series. Lost Judgment's combat makes the rest of the series look like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tech demo. Each of Yagami's main 3 styles has more depth than any style in the series prior, and Boxer style is an awesome addition on top of them. On top of that, any enemy who has a presence in the story has a unique moveset this time around, unlike the first Judgment which suffered from a lot of copied movesets. The detective-esque minigames from the prior Judgment have also been improved as well, with tailing being actually somewhat enjoyable. The only part of the gameplay I don't like is the stealth missions. ♥♥♥♥ the stealth missions.

Plot: Without saying anything spoilery, the plot is bold. It focuses on actual issues in the real world and handles them with maturity. The characters are also all written extremely well and seem like actual people you could meet or hear about in the news.

Music and Sound: It's a Sega game. The soundtrack is not only phenomenal, but also extremely varied and has something for everyone. The sounds themselves are also great, with big hits having big impacts and small hits not deafening you. In addition, the English dub is incredibly well done and probably the best in the series as of now (though there's only 2 others to really compete with for now). I'd even say I prefer a good chunk of the English voices to the Japanese voices.

Side Content: Being a game in the Yakuza series, of course the game is loaded with tons of enjoyable side content. Though there are only 42 side cases listed in the completion list, this is only because there are 10 whole storylines through the introduction of School Stories, where Yagami becomes an advisor for clubs in the school and tries to solve the mystery of an anonymous individual called "the professor" who has been causing huge amounts of delinquency in Yokohama. Definitely some of the best side content I've ever played in a game, and probably the best in the Yakuza series.

The Kaito Files: An additional paid DLC that takes place after the main game, focusing mainly on Kaito and his past life. Even though it is much less serious and significantly shorter than the main story, it is still a very nice epilogue-esque addition to the game. His combat features two upgraded versions of Kiryu's Brawler and Beast styles that are both very fun to use. Though the DLC only adds 6 new tracks, each of them is just as good as any of the main game's music, if not even better. There is almost no side content with the Kaito Files outside of a superboss and some nice references. Also, Kaito's stealth is actually pretty okay. Still not that good, but it's not bad.

Final review:
Lost Judgment (Base game): 9.5/10, definitely worth the $60 if you're a fan of the Yakuza series. (Although you should play 7/Like a Dragon before this one, because Lost Judgment's plot has a lot to do with a significant event that occurs in it.)

Kaito Files DLC: 8/10, if you really liked the base game and don't want to wait for a sale, it's worth the full $30. However, for anyone else who just plays casually, I'd say wait for at least a 30% sale so you can get it for around $20 or less.
