really good but I wish it didnt have forced permadeath, the ability to save and retry instead of losing everything on the first mistake would be a lot more fun

epic spend half an hour trying to figure out how to connect to your best friend simulator
features:
-get hyped to spend time with your bestie to play a cute coop game youve been waiting months for
-buy and install it on steam
-can not use steam friends list to play
-unusably broken epic games store account creation service
-give up and go get a different game

One of the greatest, and most overlooked, one-of-a-kind pvp first person shooters.
A lot of this game's mechanics, like the fire support, gunplay, and loadouts are the result of the experimentation and lessons learned from the studio's several previous games and mods coming together and it shows. Teamwork and strategy pay off more than anything, and years of updates later still no pay-to-win.
One of the only areas the game struggles with still is player movement; every time you go to vault over something you expect its gonna be fast and cool but its often clunky and frustrating. Teammate collisions are also janky and awkward every time you respawn. It's disappointing, but for probably my biggest complaint about the game, it's pretty minor.
Always plenty of people playing but I wish more people talked about this game and this series, I love it to death and I've been coming back to it over and over for years

Early Access Review
Was a really wonderful game that changed my life and brought me my best friends and the best experiences I've ever had. Now the dev team is making it clear they want to shift towards a marketable """metaverse""" techbro attitude by removing mods and soon likely removing explicit content and adding in-game currencies and crypto. It's depressing to say the least.

Hadn't played the game in a while.
Decided to update it and try it out.
Realised that because I'm getting a bit low on disk space, i wouldnt be able to complete the installation. I'm not sure why it didn't even alert me that it was trying to install a 12 GB update on my hard drive with only 9 GB free but luckily I noticed the issue before I wasted more time.

But then i realised you can't stop this damned thing from installing.

I initially closed the launcher, hoping it would just shut down, but then realised it was one of those frustrating programs that insists on staying open as if you are only ACCIDENTALLY pressing the close button 40 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times in a row. I opened it back up, and pressed the pause button instead, but surprise! It only stops downloading for 30 minutes then resumes automatically, because they are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ desperate for you to download their game (that you can't download). Finally I gave up, opened up task manager, and shut the thing down for good so it would quit wasting disk space I didn't have.

Then, about 2 days later, in the middle of a match of a far better game I would rather be playing, I hear that iconic windows error message noise.
I head back to my desktop and see the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ War Thunder launcher open, with a message saying it ran out of disk space. (No ♥♥♥♥ Sherlock, who could have seen that coming?)
I also notice that I suddenly have exactly 0 bytes free on my hard drive. Fantastic.
Luckily though, i was able to delete this piece of garbage entirely and get back more space than I had before. Why play your game anyway if you can't make a functioning launcher for it? A brief look at the community hub shows people arguing over whether it has a virus or not anyways, so maybe it's for the better.

Even if it wasn't a joke, I still say this is the most innovative shooter I've played in years. A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brilliant game mechanic thats executed very well, with beautiful graphics, satisfying yet challenging gameplay, and a story I never saw coming. Haven't played the challenge and endless modes yet but I hear theyre fun. I love this game.

EDIT: I think I bought this on sale but I didn't notice the full price until now. A bit high if you ask me. I recommend getting on sale- while it's an incredible game I feel like it's a bit too short for $25. Maybe more like $15-$20 at most. But maybe that's just me.

INCASE ANYONE DIDNT CHECK, THIS IS ONLY 15 MINUTES LONG. NOT A FULL MOVIE

Besides that, though, it was pretty good. The acting was alright. The story was alright. Really nothing GREAT about the movie, but certainly nothing bad.

Since its on sale for only 67 cents, I definitley recommend it if you've got some extra money to spend from selling some cards or CSGO skins or something.

The storyline was better than I expected it would be. This is a fun and addicting game for anyone who likes puzzles or semi-serious murder mysteries. However, it was a lot shorter than I expected it to be- luckily there is workshop support.

Early Access Review
I'd say that as an early access game, this open-world apocalypse game is off to an amazing start. If you like open world games, zombie games, and survival games, you should try this game out. The game does have bugs, but it is only an early-access alpha game. Other than that, it is very fun to play. You can scavenge for weapons and other items as you explore an amazing and immersive randomly-generated world. If you are a fan of games like Minecraft or DayZ, you should give this game a go. The Dead Linger is definetley worth playing, and I would love to "linger" to see what Sandswept Studios will do with it in the future!
