extremely un-optimized, terrible AI, AI spawning on top of player infinitely, missing features from previous games, bug galore, terrible dialogue, TERRIBLE controls, and console UI.

essentially an early access title priced as a full game.

this is clearly an alpha/beta game released as a full product. read the CEO's "diaries" to get an idea of the mess this game is in.

the more I played, the more absurd glitches I saw, which was at least some form of entertainment this game provided.

and now no mod support for months (steam workshop never coming btw)

CEO now says the game just "isn't for certain people" and that "When it comes to the gameplay and simulation we set goals for the game and we have reached those goals"

sorry I expected a city building game where the sims could actually navigate throughout the city on their own accord without causing gridlocks that are in no way related to the planning or design of my city. Reversing on freeways/highways, coming to a complete stop and flying over 4 lanes of traffic to barely get to an exit. These aren't one off events but constant occurrences. And the "police" in game do nothing to stop these traffic violations.

Orphans living alone in full houses that are complaining about high rent.
Entire droves of citizens crossing highways to reach shopping areas instead of driving and parking.

is this false advertising? did I get scammed?

I truly believe they were hoping modders would be able to fix most of these issues and now they've fumbled on releasing their "mod platform" and everyone is stuck staring at the glaring issues the game has.

Really enjoyable. With some more fine tuning patches for the AI the campaign will be amazing.
