I'm immune to vr sickness at this point and know my way around physics based gameplay, but the lack of instructions means that "non-curious" players just don't click with the game at all.
What do I mean by that?
Well, some people when they don't understand something try to investigate and explore it to know how to use it.
On the other hand, most other people just grab the thing, try the first action that they feel would work, and if it doesn't work then "thing is broken, don't like thing".

You shouldn't have to study to play a game, and recommending new players to "go watch a video explaining stuff" is just the worst possible solution for it, albeit the only one we've got thanks to stress level zero not feeding the player instructions properly. "Show, don't tell" can only be taken so far before it becomes "Don't let your audience understand anything period".

I like the game and really enjoyed what little I've played so far, but holy moly I understand a lot of what people don't like about it
