My Story
I may infact be a no life but with that comes undeniable skill. - Atomisk

I was introduced to Team Fortress 2 by a good friend of mine known as Poushanity. I played with him on a Naruto based Byond game called Shinobi of Legend. When I first played it reminded me so much of Half life and Team Fortress Classic. I died a lot so I stopped playing before I even really got into it.. But a few months later the game Shinobi of Legends shut down. I had nothing else to waste my time on. That’s when Team Fortress 2 caught my attention again. I played a few servers with Poushanity and we did pretty good. I would roam server to server like any new player would. Trying out the cool mods like Mario Kart, CP orange and Minecraft trade servers.

Then I got into 2fort for awhile and that’s when I came across Brothers of Chaos. A lot of the people there were on my skill level, I’d kill them a few times and I would die a few times. It was so much better then getting constantly killed all the time. What kept me there was whenever a hacker came along there were admins who actually did something about it. Spawn camping wasn’t allowed and the rules were enforced all the time. I liked that..

So I stuck around and started to spend 8 to 10 hours a day online. That’s when I discovered the regulars. One by one they would come online, with the BoC | tag in there name. I thought they were pretty cool. They were better then the other players, whenever they came around people would be like, “♥♥♥♥ here comes BoC.”. I tried to befriend them but I have a voice that sounds like I’m a teenager. So they naturally made fun of me and would not befriend me in anyway. I didn’t care, I was in there aura. I just wanted to be part of the server, so I stayed on night and day, started it up when it was dead. Reported people who were breaking the rules and such.

All was going okay for a few months, I’d try out new classes, get top score on the server whenever none of the more skilled players were online. I thought it was pretty awesome. Then for some reason, a few of the players who I will not name started picking on me. That’s such a lame way to put it, they just targeted me for there trolls and would always taunt when they killed me. Which was a lot. They continued doing this for awhile. Then other members got in on the action. I was the punching bag of the server. Fine, I told myself. Whatever its just a game, you know. So I took it and didn’t really defend myself the way I should’ve.

Then one day I met someone… His name is Lucid. I randomly send him a duel because I found one and thought it would be fun. He accepted.. Then started wiping the floor with me like no other person on any server ever has. I never damaged him, I never got a shot off on this guy.. The thing that stuck out the most was that even though he was thoroughly kicking my ass. He was a completely cool guy about it. Then out of no where he says “Hey, I gotta go, good duel.” Then leaves the server, giving me the win and leaving me in complete awe.

Few moments later I get a friend request sent to me. Who is it? Its Lucid. He tells me “Hey, you have some potential. Lets play again some day okay?”. I agreed and went on with my Tf2 life. Getting a little better everyday, never looking at any of the “skilled” players on that server the same. I started speaking out on my new found perspective. Whenever I would get killed, I would point out while there taunting. “You know.. you barely killed me.. A little luck on my side and you would’ve been done”. They didn’t like that. Not one bit. They go on a harder then usual trolling one day. Spawn camping, friendly person holding open the door for them and such. That’s when I left for a week or so. Just lost in my own little world as I went from server to server.

Lucid comes online and invites me to a server called “Mge”. Showed me where he used to go and train.. Told me that if I spent a week or so in that place I would get better.. Everything about Tf2 was new again. I watched as soldiers never missed a shot. I watched scouts take down soldiers and not get damaged at all. I watched demomen take down everyone who challenged them with insane pipe shots. I saw snipers get 20 headshots in under 5 minutes.

That’s when I changed… I stepped into an arena. There was no “hello” or “what type of class do you want to be?”. There was just non-stop fighting. Dodging.. Predicting.. Accuracy.. Trying to be better then the other guy. I spent a solid 2 months in these servers. Getting my ass handed to me and putting my heart into trying to beat anyone who stepped into the arena. I lost a lot… I died more then I killed. But I never stopped trying. I never gave up. Eventually I started getting a little closer to winning. I was getting stronger. There were 5 classes I wanted to be in mge.. But only one I had a passion for.. I spent the better part of 3 months training this one class.. I made a vow to eventually become the best at this class. Whenever someone heard my name, they would think of one class.

Soldier

One day, a friend invites me to a server. Just to play with them. I accepted and ended up on none other then Brothers of Chaos. I spent some time in spectate before I joined a team.. Everyone moved differently. They were slower… Dumber.. Not very strategic. Then I saw regulars on. They moved slightly different but not by much. So I joined the opposite team. As expected they began there trolling spree. Saying things like “Oh look its this newb again. Came back for more?”. I said nothing to them. Not in chat or in voice. I merely waited on the bridge. There were other players around fighting each other but to me.. there was only one other person in the server and I waited for him. When I saw him I got nervous, ready to get killed like always but his advances were so easy to dodge.. Yet, he couldn’t dodge my attacks. He soon realized after 6 or 7 deaths that I was not at the same skill level I was the last time he saw me. That’s when he decided to go to his main class. Which happened to be Soldier. So I sent him a duel. He accepted almost immediately and what happened next I’m sure he will never admit. I beat him ruthlessly 14 to 3. He even had assistance from a medic.

I said a few words after another kill on him. “Must be embarrassing to be losing to a newb like me.”

That’s when I got kicked from the server. I lost the duel but I gained confidence in my skill that day.

That’s when I began to spend more time on that server. As a stroke of luck, the stats reset around the same time. I quickly became the top player on the server and had a lead of over 50k points. The regulars did not like that at all. They couldn’t kill me like they used too. They soon had to band together and use team work to gang up on me. The few times that it worked they would do desperate insults and spam voice and chat. After awhile of this, I got banned from the server. Never able to play on there again. Some say its because I was a menace to the server… that I did nothing but badger other players and pick on the newbs. But, a few people know the true reason why I got banned. Lets leave it at that.

So I've gotten into competitive. So far my deathmatch is at about high silver. But my gamesense is around mid steel. When you get into competitive you learn more about what you should be getting better at. It can be very fun.

I am Atomisk, and you will respect me.

Just played a game of Rocket League with this guy. He is toxic to his own teammates, acts like he's the best player to ever grace the gaming world and yet is terrible - doesn't accept responsibility for his own mistakes and spams toxic quick chat. Then to top it off, in the middle of the game - gets on his keyboard to literally insult my own game name... like he is somehow better for having some generic name? Here's a thought - if your taking casual RL matches to the point of being so serious and being a toxic a$$hole to your own team - maybe you should re-evaluate your life. It's pathetic and sad.
