Disco Elysium is the hardest I've laughed at a game in years. This current playthrough, I'm playing as a self-proclaimed hobocop that is trying to reignite communism, while just being an absolute derelict of a human being in general. This is some of the best writing I've seen in a game in a long time, as well.

Edit: Now that the Final Cut is out, I lament the fact that I can't double-thumbs-up this game.
