Why do people call this game uncomplicated and easy to understand if they themselves demonstrate no understanding of it and are preferential towards vastly more "straightforward" games? I argue otherwise because unlike mental and physical midgets such as the majority of modern gamers, I actually have the capacity to comprehend such abstract works and also because I see so many people, including myself, struggling to understand it. 7/10

Some claim that Half Life 2 is a satire, or at the very least the antithesis, of what was popular comedies were at the time of its release (e.g. gross out comedies, comedies about man-children, slacker comedies, etcetera). I like this idea, and I think it works to an extent, but I'm not so sure. It's certainly possible... but I'm not so sure. What I am sure about is that it's one of the first widely exhibited displays of anti-humor; is it a coincidence that Steam emerged mere months subsequent to the release of this game? I think not. GabeN wasn't trying to make a good game, he was trying to make a vapid game for a niche audience that would understand its stupidity and enjoy it anyway (probably because of their prior knowledge that GabeN is merely a troll, see: 'Half Life'). The man has always been out to expose the absurdity of modern society. The fact that a video game company actually spent $14,000,000 on this beautiful piece of ♥♥♥♥ is probably the game's funniest joke and greatest success. It's a goliath ♥♥♥♥ you to the enormity of the corporation that produced it, as well as 90% of the people that would play it. Why? Because GabeN already knew that people would despise its loud, obnoxious obtuseness, and he still wanted to wave his finger in those people's faces because he also knew that the 10% of people who would recognize this preposterous but admirable reasoning would treasure it, even if that's not a great reason to treasure something. In fact, it's absolute trash - I'm willing to admit that - but its gilded trash, as it's so un-funny that it transcends its unfunniness and becomes quite funny (the irony). It's obviously deliberate in how terrible it is, and oddly that's something that I, personally, can most definitely respect.

You may loathe Half Life 2; the majority may loathe it, but I do not.

yeah sure I love being surrounded by enemies at all times that deal insane damage and scream at me and don't give me time to breathe. Reminds me a lot of my HIGHSCHOOL experience, maybe that's why I liked the game so much, it's called TRAUMA BONDING. But it's ok because now they can see the monstrosity that they created, the basement dwelling husk of a man whose whole personality centers around trauma and all he does is try to desperately cope with it. Oh and they'll feel bad don't worry they'll see and feel the impact of their creation, it's like they dug their own graves really. 8/10 good game

Most people get off to pornography. That's cute, whatever you guys are into these days. I get off to reoccuring patterns and narratives I notice when comparing abstract concepts like success, suffering and freedom to my own life and everything that ever occured to me (aww don't be jealous, it's not as exciting as all the 4/10 college dropouts who talk about myers briggs on youtube would suggest), and I've been having a bit of a problem lately. The other day I had a discussion with a friend about what if national socialist black metal artists became as mainstream as artists such as drake, doja cat, billie eilish, ect. We came to a conclusion that it would be the same thing for music industry as the idea of people reincarnating as fungus and fungus reincarnating as people would be to humanity. Anyway, back to the problem I was talking about so I have a very serious death grip and I really need to stop thinking for a while so that I can emotionally and physically please my newly comissioned sex bot partner that should be arriving about a week from now. I looked at my sister in the eyes today and saw the same thing I did last time I gazed into my own subconscious through its translation into the html coding language and I was as proud as a brother can be. "But Andrija, you don't have a sister", you may say and you'd be correct considering that the probability of you still being bounded by ideas of "one's conscious reality" is pretty high. If half life has thaught me anything in life that is to prepare for unforseen consequences. Humans are inherently unpredictable and chaotic, and a philosophy that I've developed and gained the perfect understanding of over the course of the last 15 minutes goes: "to be at peace with one's self, one must be at peace with the chaos of one's self". So how do you predict the unpredictible? Well the truth is, you don't, instead you prepare, just like how we learned from half life. You frequently and routinely compile and upload your consciousness to your cloud server of choice in case of a cyber attack or as we call it here in the made up coping mechanism we call reality, "having a conversation". Oh but don't you worry about me, I already have a self designed brain augmentation powered by a 4gb raspberry pi 4 (couldn't afford the 8 gig version but this does the job just fine) that has a built in adblocker to stop the annoying spotify premium ads when I listen to video game soundtracks through my head.
