Amazing game. Probably my game of the year so far. Love the gameplay, the worldbuilding/lore, and the characters. My only complaints would be that the ending was a little abrupt and you don't get to meet the characters in person, you only hear their voices. The game is still really good despite those complaints.

Whew. All upgrades purchased, all milestones completed, all 60 challenges completed, all achievements unlocked. Good game, I enjoyed it. Now I retire.

MAJOR ORDER COMPLETE

HELLDIVERS 2 HAS BEEN LIBERATED FROM THE AUTOMATONS SONY.

No PSN account will be required to play Helldivers 2. Let this be a lesson to the people who gnashed their teeth at those of us who complained. Those who worked together to push back the threat are the true Helldivers.

However, many countries are still blocked from purchasing the game. This means that many people, including those who refunded the game when they thought they would not be able to make a PSN account, are unable to purchase or play Helldivers 2.

THE BUGS ARE STILL A THREAT.

Seriously, the game is still buggy and still needs work. At this point, the developers seem incompetent.

- Devs keep introducing new Warbonds without fixing glaring issues in the game. New Warbonds keep coming out every month and sometimes include bugs in the Warbonds themselves. They aren't testing them. There are bugs that have been in the game for weeks or months now, but don't get addressed by updates. There are bugs that the devs have said are fixed but are still in the game.
- The armor perk system is awful and needs a rework. New armor passives need to be added. A system that would allow people to pick their passives would be better.
- Lots of armors are just reskins of other armors instead of being unique.
- Many armors have incorrect naming conventions that don't match the passives. The devs refuse to fix or change these because people have already bought them. However, they have no problem changing or nerfing weapons that people have already bought.
- Many weapons are broken or unbalanced. They don't seem to know what they're doing with balancing. When a weapon is fun and useful, it will probably get a nerf. The Eruptor was nerfed by removing shrapnel which made it practically useless, the devs didn't even understand that the shrapnel was the reason people used it.
- So many weapons are underpowered that it encourages you to use the same weapons every time you play. You can branch out and try others, but you can feel how much weaker they are. So it's hard to avoid the meta even if you want to.

Five design choices essentially ruined Starfield for me.

1. The way Bethesda implemented procedural generation. The planets are procedurally generated which completely negates Bethesda's strongest selling point: their beautifully crafted worlds. You end up wandering around boring and empty procedurally generated areas that lack the charm of their other games. Then, on top of that, they only have a limited number of dungeons and they didn't procedurally generate them so you eventually realize that the dungeons just repeat over and over. It makes the game feel lifeless.

2. The complete lack of control over door and ladder placement in ship design is infuriating and absolutely ruins the enjoyment of making larger ships. It's almost impossible to make satisfying large ships because the interior will quickly become an annoying maze. Also, the lack of any stair options (aside from the one cockpit with stairs) makes traversing your ship a pain as well.

3. The companions and crew. The companions get pretty annoying and aren't as good as Bethesda's previous games. Then the crew members are basically useless. The trailers made it sound like the skills of crew members really mattered and that crew could "work" for you at outposts, but that's not how it works.

4. Outpost building. It sucks and is a huge downgrade from Fallout 4's settlement system.

5. The new game plus and how it makes you lose everything you've earned in the game. Why have a game where you're roleplaying as a character, collecting loot, building outposts, designing ships if the new game plus wipes everything except your level? And then connect the story to the new game plus so that if you choose not to do it you feel like you're actually missing out on the story? That was a terrible choice.

The campaign is rather lame and boring. The open world doesn't actually add anything to the game, it just creates repetitive gameplay and missions. The world is also rather homogeneous and bland with only one biome.

The multiplayer is fun at first, but gets old quickly. The maps are not particularly amazing and need improvement. There's very little new content to keep you entertained. The focus seems to be on microtransactions instead of playable content.

If you enjoy Justin Roiland's humor you'll enjoy this game. It's a tad short, but extremely entertaining. I don't regret spending $60 on it, but if you're on the fence, wait for a sale.
