There is a Z axis (towards and away from your screen) that the game does not allow you to use, it doesn't even tell you about it.

Some maps require to keep retying and retrying until the gods of Bad Rats decide to let you finally pass the stage because of something in the map ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Eg, Z axis screwing you over.
