This game is everything that the previous Styx game was, as in practically every mechanic is carried over and enhanced. The abilities have far more usage scenarios (swapping with the clone, acid traps, enemy smell tracking, etc), the graphics are far nicer, the game is even more optimized (native 21:9 support in my case) and the UI/UX is improved greatly.

Overall, as I mentioned in my review of the previous game, Styx heavily encourages stealth over confrontation (definitely not like AssCreed, more like Deus Ex/Dishonored on Hard mode) and gives you a very wide range of options to choose from when performing your objectives.

A solid sequel for an already great stealth game. 9/10.

Edit: So good I just finished getting every achievement in the game, SO GOOD.

An excellent stealth game, similar to Thief, Dishonored and Deus Ex insofar as stealth is heavily emphasised and you get bonuses (more xp for supernatural abilities) for completing a mission with no alarms, no kills, fast completion, etc.

The game has pretty nice graphics, perfect optimization and great lore/worldbuilding, akin to the grim fantasy of Dishonored with an emphasis on fantasy creatures.

Overall, a really great stealth game especially for people who enjoy sneaking around with neat abilities rather than going the confrontational route. 8/10.

Played it last year and it was phenomenal, tried playing it this year and have run into a bunch of game-breaking bugs/'features'. Firstly, lack of an autosave coupled with the number of CTD's and bugs means that you'll likely lose a lot of data if the game crashes (I didn't realise there was no autosave and lost my first 3 hours). Secondly, I've encountered lots of freezes and hangs that where not present last year. Lastly, one such freeze caused my entire computer to hang, upon rebooting and despite not being in the middle of a save operation, both this years and last years save file where corrupted.

EDIT: figured out that the freezes and bugs were caused by having the old save present, deleting the old save fixed all my issues

Great game, wait until the final release before seriously playing, I know I will.

Absolutely phenomenal, the true successor to the DayZ/ArmA games. It runs great with the right settings, looks good and has few major bugs in my experience; and the gameplay is bar none the best of its kind around.

It's like a really unpolished gunpoint, it's also frustratingly difficult and exctremely tedious. If you know how to play the game (there are no tutorials, trial and error will get you there) you can beat it in a few hours but I realised half way through that I didn't enjoy the game and wouldn't enjoy it any time soon.

It's like a heavily revamped Metal Slug, althogh better in every way. The environments are completely destructable, the characters are varied and each is fun to use, the enemies enjoyable to massacre again and again... The list goes on, I would definitely buy this game, hell, I bought it over 2 years ago and I'm still playing it.

It even has 4-player CO-OP, it's just too good. And did I mention the humor is top notch?

After playing this game for a good 40 hours, and only progressing past the first town, I can easily say that this game is one of the most engaging i've played in quite a while. If you're unsure about buying it, don't be, it's already a perfect mesh between the Diablo series (1 & 2, not 3) and the turn-based combat of old. Infinite loot, a great and non-linear story and memorable characters that are both entertaining and interesting.

Buy this game.
