I bought and finished Cyberpunk within a week of release because of the massive amount of hype.
At no point have I been disappointed or annoyed enough to change my opinion on this game:
It's an outstanding work of fiction, love and art.

But it's not perfect by any means.

Here is what you will need to enjoy Cyberpunk:
- You have a good amount of patience for visual bugs and glitches
- You don't chase high FPS counts
- You think story and characters are more important than visuals, and visuals are more important than gameplay
- You enjoy RPG mechanics, both deep and superficial

If any of these things don't apply to you AT ALL then don't play, because you will not have a good time.

Cyberpunk is a great story that can be experienced in an amazing looking world. (I've taken more screenshot in this game than any other). It's rich, there's a great amount of variety in the characters and locations, and the voice acting + music are flawless. The story is deep and imo, one of the few triple A releases that ask hard questions and dares to answer them. It can be extremely serious and heart wrenching, as it can be tongue in cheek sarcastic with its delivery and both work extremely well.

BUT, there's a big caveat. It still could be optimised (although if you don't mind running at 30fps, you won't have to worry). Gameplay loop is enjoyable and fun (although if you're already experienced, play at higher difficulties from the go) but can start off by feeling pretty shallow before you invest in perks and gear.
And there's still a handful of rough edges, visual glitches and lacks some quality of life elements even after 1 year. It's by far not perfect, but what is working can outweigh what isn't.

I fully recommend the game on the basis that I absolutely adored my time in Night City, and don't mind its shortcomings. If you do mind, I don't recommend you consider playing this game, even if it's free.
