absolute gem and a pure western experience

--limited resolution options with no workaround, you wont be playing on a widescreen resolution but it looks fine enough on my monitor

Despite initially viewing Battlefront 2 as a bland objective based shooter, things clicked for me on the level "Knightfall" and I was entranced. You play as an anonymous Stormtrooper amidst this large-scale epic chronicling the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire. You feel both unimportant as you're just another clone, but your actions have such weight to the war effort that you feel that responsibility. I had a resolution issue but it's not a big enough problem to dissuade anyone from picking this classic up.

--if you have the black screen glitch, try going into discord settings and disabling the game overlay. this method completely fixed it for me

multiple animation glitches and just straight up falling through the floor, cant say im invested in disney's chicken little enough to continue

rapture is as haunting as it is gorgeous, the atmosphere and architecture of the city is second to none and easily the most defining feature of the game

despite this i don't think bioshock is half the masterpiece that people say it is

the gunplay is straight ass. it just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. the guns are all boring to use and the plasmids are mostly useless

i also find the story incredibly overrated. i had the plot twist hyped and i was waiting to be blown away but just?? have you ever been to a cinema? read a book? turned on the television? it was a generic cliche and i dont know how anyone is blown away by it

overall worthwhile game, at the very least to experience such a beloved game for yourself

the gameplay gets old very quickly

cool short rpg with an interesting world with a sharp contrast between its humor and the darkness of the main story. only real complaint is the combat is more annoying than anything.

Everything except Xen is fairly solid and exciting. Sadly, the pace becomes tedium as soon as you hit Xen because the level design is just ass. You'll spend hours doing some boring ass puzzles with only a few stand out sequences to help you get through it.

Goodbye Despair plays out similarly to Trigger Happy Havoc, except it goes tryhard on making ♥♥♥♥ as retarded as possible. I think the school setting was far more relatable compared to Jabberwock Island, and the trapped in a school scenario was the aspect that intrigued me so much.

I had a much harder time getting into this one. Some of the twists surprised me, but it never grasped me like THH did. By the fourth chapter I was sick of it and had to take a break for awhile to get back to it. Last few chapters were a chore to sit through. Granted, I started it not long after completing THH so the fact that they're so similar may have just gotten nauseating.

I'd definitely recommend trying it if you enjoyed Trigger Happy Havoc, but I'd say have a grace period and don't just jump into this one immediately.
